Looks like Moria did something to make Odz inherit Luffy's powers… or he could've simply put in a mechanism to extend his muscles (ala the late Hogback).
And I'll be the first to say it: The Roller Pirates are hella fugly.

Sort of hoped for more outside a pure action chapter but there were some great scenes: the massive fireball star, Franky aiming for Moria, Nami joining in the fight and Odz running all over the place! This is definately an epic fight.

Fun action this chapter. I'm glad Nami got in on the fight and the group attacks have been brilliant. Oh, and you got to love the zombielike design of the shadow donor risky brothers and crew.
About Odz' mysterious stretching arm: is it just me or did that look more like franky's strong right than one of luffy's pistols? If you look at the attack, the forearm (from elbow to wrist) didn't stretch at all. Unlike Luffy, whose entire arm stretches evenly during his attacks to the point you can't even distinguish his elbow, all of the elasticity in Odz' attack was confined to the area between the elbow and the shoulder.
So, instead of having an elastic ogre, I think we simply have a Mecha Odzilla with rocket arm attachment toggled from Moria's little control room. There is a cannon/chain attachment in Odz' upper left arm that allows for ranged attacks.

Its over. This week was Luffy with a boar and squid at a DJ station (looks like Radio Kon got a new rival in, er, "pirate radio") so we got at least seven more "straw hats with animals" coming.

Nice to see Nami wearing real clothes again this arc. Also, she manges to do something useful for once by saving Franky's metal ass.
Much love for all the inventive combo attacks, especially Sanji's building-kicking.
With the whole crew assembled, surely Odz' end won't be long in coming, stretchy arms or not. -

Hey, what's the deal with Brooke in this chapter? Did Zoro run him over or he still too injured to fight properly? Cause I'd really like to see his super agility and speed against a giant.

Seems like this will be better animated. However, look on page 3 top panel where all the strawhats are together. Tell me that Brooke just doesn't look perfect next to them.

I think everyone has given up on the Perona joining idea. I never supported it, but I can add it to the "possiblity" thoeries. Actually I'm enjoying writing these now, because they becoming more creatative then I expected, even though I apparently annoy at least one other member with them.
To the person concerned: I'm not stopping until this arc is over, so there!

I just noticed that Brooke gets rescued by an Odz attack by Robin. While I'd chalk that up to his injuries, I'd really like to see him start dodging on his own. It feels like, based on what we've seen from him, that he should be able to dodge better then anyone.
Hey, now that Odz seems to have Luffy's rubber power, what are the odds of him doing gear 2 or 3? That'd make for a hell of a climax.

My disappointment with the spoilers was, simply, that I thought the chapter would be just a sort of filler ordeal.
However, I enjoy being wrong and I think that's where my enjoyment of One Piece is entirely based. Shit was awesome this week.
