Scenario:
- government bans sales of unregistered items in a given shopping mall.
- a guy in that shopping mall happens to need a smoke, but doesn't have matches
- he goes around asking for matches, if anybody had them
- would the police be right in arresting the approached if he gave the guy a box of matches?
- if anyone gave him matches, it would be a person-to-person service, an aid, not a transaction, not even if the guy were to give him a few bucks back for his trouble.
- reading the second post, likewise, i never asked for links, and i did searching myself.
- and anyhow, that link stuff was just providing a friendly introduction to my current background/situation. i never asked for links, i never even mentioned i wanted HELP in getting links.
- all i asked for was 'hey u guys, do any of u have copies of the raws?'. all you guys said was 'do not ask for links'
is this even right? i read the rules clearly before i posted and according to the said rules, what i did wasnt against any of them. this was the reason for my postage, otherwise i would never have posted that at all, and yet somehow it still got closed for an unspoken-of, never-before-mentioned reason.
my opinion:
please 1) understand the situation before acting. rethink what the situation is before leaping.
2) do not link 2 things together just because they sound similar. when u are asked to kill a spider by your mom, don't kill a spider monkey. and don't run to the creepy-bugs zoo and kill the exhibits there. you wrote the rules, don't write one thing and do another..
3) or at least rewrite the rules with greater clarity so members fully understand what you're trying to convey.
thanks
