HOLY FUCKING SHIT.
I'll admit that in the beginning I was a naysayer for Olimar being playable, but I have since renounced such blasphemies and now welcome him with open arms. He looks like another great especially unique character like Pokemon Trainer. I love it, I love it.
I really like this music. Can't imaging fighting people with it in the background, though. All well, the same can be said about a lot of music.
This game really is one big slutfest.
Oh fuck yes! At long last, we've gotten to the stage where we're probably going to mostly get good-decent updates.
Fuck yeah! Captain Olimar joins the fray. Another character with an assumed interesting fighting style. I sure hope it's not similar to Ice Climbers (since he can't do a smash without pikmin), for variety's sake.
The music is nice and I imagine the Pikmin stage is going to be amazing.
The mechanics behind his character seems very interesting, he "Can't even perform a smash" without his pikmin, that scatter and probably die as used and attacked, so you could guess a pikmin plucking special, and a pikmin calling special.

I only ever played the first game once but I did enjoy it and I'm not sure why I never bought it. It's great to finally see another new character after so many damn weeks.
I wasn't expecting to see him outside of being an Assist Trophy! But this is just as good! And I love the World Map music, sound even better than the original. This game is just filled with surprises.

Olimar was probably my most wanted playable character, and fuck yeah he's in the game! And I'm assuming his Pikmin will be killable, which makes me think he'll be able to pluck out new ones using downB.
This also makes me happy because now that Olimar is making an appearance in a new game, maybe we'll see Pimin 3 for the Wii in the near future. Pikmin was already great, and Pikmin for the Wii would just be perfect.
Alright, Diddy, Olimar, and Dedede are all playable. Still hoping for K.Rool and Ridley, but I'm MORE than satisfied.
the one night I'm late to check. here's hoping we get his specials tomorrow, like we did with sonic and 3D, otherwise I be wondering about it for weeks. Well 2 weeks at least.

Well played Sakurai. Right when my guard was totally down and unexpecting any new characters, you throw a curveball named "Olimar". Always nice too see a new face in the roster, but I really am not that big of a Pikmin fan, so I guess it doesn't phase me one way or the other.
This begs the question; what the hell kind of final smash might he have?

Never played any of Pikmin games but I humbly welcome his epic debut. There's so many more Newcomers I want to main now, its becoming a little overbearing.

Yeah, I was wondering about that as well; it seems as though those are all the characters Sakurai will show us before the game is released. That's no guarantee though, but it sure looks like it so far.

This game will be legendary. I just knew they'd be able to make a cool fighting system for the Pikmin.
Whoa Olimar is looking interesting. His lack of ability to do smashes without his Pikmin makes me think he will be a powerful but disarmable character sort of like the Ice Climbers (lose one and your power is diminished). In addition I can see his Down B as said where he pulls them out of the ground. I'm thinking he will do this frequently and fast.
Here by the way is an interesting thought. I just checked Sakurai's poll. So far on it the only character with three votes is Olimar and the only character with 2 votes is Lucas who was going to be in the game regardless. I can not fathom besides legal rights why any character with a 4 vote would not be in the game now. I know this argument probably doesn't have a lot of real strength but its interesting to note.

I was wondering about that… What did he actually leak from Diamond/Pearl? I was regularly posting on the Gamefaqs board back then, but I don't remember ever seeing any of his usernames there. (or any sort of "prophet" topic that turned out to be true, but that's a lot easier to miss)
He leaked the past generation pokemon that would have evolutions, the gym types and Piplup's final evo would be water/steel.
Serebii has been debunking profits left and right, the only two that seem to be trustworthy are the almighty goat and rapscouter. I have more faith in the goat. We'll be able to tell next week if rapscouter is lying or not if we get the next 3rd party character on dojo. Serebii kind of debunked the goat though, when he posted a new boss character, who serebii said wouldn't be there. Hmm.

X/Y for jumping is essential. It's nigh impossible to short hop by jumping with the analog stick.
As for Smash Attacks, pros use both the C-stick and the analog stick. There's nothing wrong with using one or the other. You'll find some people who say C-STICK IS FOR SCRUBS, but they're total morons.
Mewtwo deserved his spot, and still does, why would the most recongnized Uber and legendary would be cut for a… anubis based pokemon? that isn't even important as contrary to the starters, pikachu or the legendaries.

W00t, as they say! Captain Olimar is looking sharp. Looks like he's almost as small as Pichu, though that's still a major upsizing for him. XD I wasn't sure whether he'd make it in or not, but it seems he did. I like that the Pikmin are essential to his ability to attack and can be scattered. It'll make him a tricky character. I'll definitely have to try him out.
So that leaves us with 24 revealed characters, one short of the 25 we had in the last game. Twelve confirmed veterans leaves us with thirteen unaccounted for, six of which are clones. Clones are likely to be nixed (I'll miss you Young Link 
) so that leaves seven veterans plus Ganondorf who everyone expects to come back with a revamped moveset. Some food for thought. (Isn't math fun?)
