The guy who originally posted it did provide a picture of his post, which he apparently saved when it was moderated. He has a Gamefaqs account, so he can't edit and even if he could edit the post was deleted long before the Dojo update. Additionally, quite a few people claimed that they remember the original topic and that it did have the Dragoon stuff.
The info could still be wrong of course (even the poster emphasized this), but the post itself seems to be real.

The only third parties I'd support would be Bomberman or Banjoe-Kazooie. Banjoe is a no-go since he's Microsoft, but I'd LOOOOOOOOOVE to see Bomberman.

And Bomberman actually has a regular presence on every Nintendo console. Not to mention aside from the awful Bomberman game on the xbox, he's only appeared on Nintendo consoles lately (in the US anyway) He's iconic, and close enough to being a Nintendo mascot without actually being one.

Megaman would be cool, simply because his moveset has such potential to be awesome. But I really wouldn't care if he wasn't in, at this point I don't think there are any characters I must see in Brawl. There are too many old ones I care way more about.

As for what I'm actually doing on New Years, probably CHILLAXING, which will consist of writing an essay that's due the week after next and (more likely) not doing that and reading Wheel of Time.

It certainly never appeared enough for me when I was playing Kirby Air Ride.

I had a friend who said he collected 2 pieces of one once and then he was a foot from the last piece when time ran out. But I didn't believe him now, he used to make crap up all the time.

It will seem incomplete without one more of these items. It's basically 4 items, and whoever has even one of these pieces is going to be king of the hill for awhile, until someone beats it out of them. I don't know how they'll get it to be balanced unless all 3 items appear once every game, but that seems too frequent for me.

I doubt Sakurai even looks at the calendar when doing an update. He probably has a list of updates he's doing up to release, and that's what we'll get.

Still betting on whatever is released pre-release is all stuff available from the start. Except Sonic/Snake being used for hype.

JaJaMaru is a ninja, I have no clue what game he is from to be honest. He is really fun to play as, and is similar to Sheik except his shuriken are WAY stronger than the needles. His Final Smash is some sort of Frog too, as apposed to Sheik's Harp of the Sheikah, which is a lame attack.

Some news from Jump Festa Demo

Kirby's Final Smash does about 35% damage.
The Soccer Ball bursts into flames when used.
The clock SLOWS DOWN time. It does not FREEZE time.
Lucas's PK Freeze is much more mobile than Ness's old PK Flash
Snakes's Landmine attack is REMOTE, not PROXIMITY for some reason.
New FE Music: "The Kingdom of Bern". I don't know much about FE, but I guess there''s a city in FE called Bern and it has a battle of some sort.
Regigigas, Metagross, and Garchomp Poke Ball Pokemon.

Nothing major, but Regigigas and Garchomp being Pokeballs rocks.
