@Kaos:
BREAKING NEWS! One Piece is a JAPANESE series!
Of course I didn't. But any japanese could, and the info had to be delivered to us, non-japanese people… as I have said, is OBVIOUS for a japanese.
Simple question I ask you again: So where did you read it?
@Kaos:
a zorome is a number with all its ciphers being the same one, 11/11 is the biggest one you can makewith dates,
Are you sure? What is your source if you don't mind me asking?
I’ve seen this definition posted too, which seems to contradict the other definition of "zorome" being bandied about which is a zorome is a numeric palindrome, (a palindrome being any number read the same backward as forward.)
I can’t remember who I first saw post the definition you are giving for "zorome", but I was meaning to ask them as well in that thread.
Of course if I did ask, I'de probably be subjected to the wrath of Kaos for no reason**?**
But it really doesn’t sound like you know what your talking about. I’d always rather go to the source, which is why I like to ask questions because people seem to just repeat things blindley without really having any idea what the source is or what they are talking about.
In this thread: http://apforums.net/showthread.php?t=6528&highlight=Zorome
darktravis sais**:**
@darktravis:
In the case of Zoro, 1111 is the number derived from his name. This is by a process in japan where japanese characters have number counterparts (in Zoro's case, both zo and ro become 11). This process allowed Oda to get Zoro, Sanji, Nami and Robin's birthdates
And ybmc sais
@ybmc:
not with Zoro. His name happens to mean zorome, which happens when 3/3 or 6/6 occurs in the year. 11/11 happens to be his birthday because it's the biggest zorome, or big sequence of the same number, during the year.
Or in this thread we get;
@Camões:
His birthday is November 11 (11/11), because the name "Zoro" is similar to the the Japanese word "zorome", meaning a palindrome (a sequence that is the same backwards and forwards).
@flandrian15:
Zoro comes from the japanese zorome which means palindrome which is the french pirates birthday: 11 november: 11-11 = palindrome
@Really:
Actually Zoro's first name comes from the japanese word "zorome", which is a repetition of numbers. Zoro's birthday is November 11th, which is 11/11
or
@Kingoffans:
Wrong! Oda-Sensei got the inspiration of Zoro's name froma religion called Zorome. It's about stuff like Devas and Asuras and their battles, yatta, yatta, I'm not sure about that stuff except that it's called Zorome.
@Ao:
Doubtful, that's as unlikely as that Enel-Rah thing. People are just six degrees moding the hell out of stuff. Zoro's bday is that date because he needed to be a Scorpio. All brooding anime badasses are usually scorpios. Vegeta was a Scorpio,too.
But I guess I’d get derided by you if I asked any of them where they got their info?
