sucks. The voices are lousy despite such big names, the dialogue is goofy and unrealistic, and once again they attach "Digi" to everything. Oh, and you gotta love this, no original soundtrack once again. They just love producing stock, pathetic sounds.

Hey, at least for the series and its past history, its not that bad. Definately a step up from the Frontier dub…but I want to make my own decision before saying how good or bad the series is. (though somehow I think it will be #3 from what I've heard...better than Frontier and 02, nowhere near Tamers or Adventure)
And they better get some box sets for the series in this country. I'd get a couple.

I saw a few episodes, wasn't for me. (I remember seeing this cool looking digimon with a jacket and shotguns though.)

You just described Beelzebumon. And personally, Tamers is my favorite of the Digimon series, mostly due to its darkness and character development as well as taking a more realistic approach towards the character relations as well as the creation and evolution of the Digimon. Heck, I even loved the D-Reaper concept.
Savers is probably my second favorite after Tamers. It was the first Digimon season I watched in Japanese, but yeah, damn dubs always screwing stuff up. Masaru and Agumon sound lame as hell in the dub.

The first thing I thought when I heard the new Agumon is "Gomamon, get out of that Agumon suit right now!" But its better than the "puberty-voiced teen" the classic Agumon had. But outside the crappy music, its not like the dub is really bad like some of 02 (pre-Daemon Corp) or Frontier.

Mostly from the puns and stupid side comments. Adventure wasn't that bad about it, but 02 pretty much was drowning in it through the World Tour arc. From the Daemon Corp episodes of 02 all the way through the end of Tamers, the dub was top-rate, but somehow the transition from Saban to "Sensation Animation" made the puns and bad dialogue reappear for Frontier. So far I don't see Savers/Data Squad having the same problems outside voice selections. (mostly since the comapny dubbing it is the same one as the one for Naruto & Bleach…so its all now based on the dialogue)
Is it really that bad? Didn't Disney dub this season? The only thing that I never hated about Digimon was the voice (especially the 4th season, which I remember pretty well).
I haven't seen this yet but I'll check it out just for the heck of it (mainly of course for fights, just like in Pokemon)

Adventure's dub kinda made fun of it'self "I'll just sit here and stare at the flowers till it's all over!" 02 was a bad series anyway but the dub didn't help. T.K. and Cody's voices were flat out annoying and alot of the Digimon voices weren't very good either. Tamers was good and Frontier just like 02 wasn't very good to begin with.
EDIT: So I just finished watching it. The opening sucked but I wasn't expecting much and they kinda spoiled in the opening and ending… Otherwise it's pretty decent. And I think the voice of Takato from the dub of Tamers is playing Geo Agumon now
Do I sound stupid if I say…...."I enjoy it!"?(shot) Well this is probably due to me never watching sub versions of Digimon.(shot again 26 times)
I've seen all of Savers in Japanese and it is a step up from Frontier and 02. A lot of people say it's the most mature season so far, but IMO Tamers still takes the prize for being the most mature and dark out of all the Digimon seasons. This would definately be the second most mature though.
And I feel the dub for Savers is pretty good and the voices are great too (Flynn just needs to sound tougher as Masaru). Besides, it's not like the Digimon dubs were horrible anyway. 02 was only littered with puns in the dub because the higher-ups of Saban wanted the series to have more of a comedic tone. This was stated by Jeff Nimoy, who was the one blamed for the puns and corny dialouge because he was the head writer. He actually had a fallout with Saban and left before 02 ended because of this situation.
Then when Saban started to dub Tamers, you could tell they left the comedic idea behind and started to mirror the serious tone of the Japanese version and it worked, Tamer's dub was as good as any Digimon dub got and the music was pretty damn good too.
The dub is just fine. The added "Digi" was mainly to maintain consistency with the previous seasons. The voices are fine (I think Yoshino is actually pretty good) and basically nothing is edited. It seems accurate enough. I didn't even notice that the soundtrack was replaced, so it couldn't have been that bad.

Also, I never really liked Tamers much. Everyone went on about how it was so deep and emotional, but to me the kids just seemed sappy and whiney.
I watched Savers this summer online. I'm not sure if it was the best, but i'd say it was pretty good. I am actually really scared to check out the dub. actually, does anyone know where I can get torrents for all the japanese episodes. All the subbing groups took them down when it got licenced here, damn it.

I don't remember seeing lots of puns in the 2nd season (come to think of it, didn't people say the 2nd was the best by far, well except maybe the ending, which I didn't really like)?
Anyway, this new approach to Digimon wasn't really that bad, pretty good action scenes, even though Geograymon did end it a little too fast (whats the first where Geo will have a hard time beating a digimon (like in the 1st season, at first they had a hrd time beating Leomon and Devimon)

I believe you're thinking of LiLAsN. She never subtitled any of her digimon videos. What she did was post 01 and 02 of that Filipino English dub. Yeah that dub was pretty lousy. As I understand it, there were only 4 voices in the whole show: a boy, a girl, a man, and a woman who just did everyone. It was good for a laugh like how they called Hikari "hickory!" What surprised me the most, however, was what they were able to get away with. This dub was also made for kids, yet not one second of it was cut, all references to drunkenness and killing were left intact, and they even allowed Etemon to say "I will make you suffer the way that I did, IN HELL!"
The fact that a dub made for a country whose people don't even regularly speak english is better than a dub produced for us Americans tells me alot about the state our country is in.
