OK this is something that has been bugging me for years. But it somehow appears that the background music of some anime series (mostly the at kids targeted series) is rather hard to find.
I remember that in the very first Digimon season (yeah I know Digimon) I´ve heard a background theme that I really liked. I thought that it would be ok to buy the soundtrack to get the theme, but guess what, after I purchesed the CD there was only mindless songs that except for the opening theme never appeared in the entire anime.
I have to say though, that this was the german Digimon soundtrack. But whenever I´ve tried to download some original themes it appeared to be the same problem just in japanese. :(
And Digimon is not the only example. My main concern is Monster Rancher. I completely fell in love with the entire anime soundtrack. I just find the background music of the series awesome but again the CD (I refuse to call it soundtrack) has nothing to do with the background music of the series. What a disappointment.
So I take my last chance to ask if anybody out here knows if there´s a place where to find the original soundtracks of anime series instead of merchandize bullshit or not. If there´s any chance that I can find the music I´m looking for then I would truly appreciate it if someone would let me know.
Oh and BTW, I have to admit that at least I did find a track from City Hunter. But I had to buy 14! different soundtracks though. <_<
