Let's talk about Zelda: Phantom Hourglass. Because I just picked it up and there is NO thread here! I mean, lol, right?
I'm still on the first island.

I need to get this as soon as humanly possible. It calls to me.
I'm suprised I haven't gotten it yet! Especially considering Zelda is one of my favorite video game series!
I really like it, probably much more then TP (I really like the cute WW Link!)
The only gripes I have are the touch screen is kinda tedious at parts for someone with clunky hands, and that Ocean King dungeon is pretty annoying…but besides that, its great!
Is it any more difficult to use the touch screen for lefties?
I'll probably pick this up tomorrow, as Wind Waker was a great game which needed a sequel and this game looks fantastic. I should prolly get some screen protectors also.
Like the Iphone, the all touch screen is probably what keeps me uninterested.
The most fun I've had playing a Zelda game to date.
The 2nd,3rd,5th,6th, and 7th dungeons are all cleverly designed.
! the 3rd temple has some really old-school puzzles along with some of the most original ones in the game.(The Pol's Voice, that's right, Pols Voice, also makes a return in the temple.)
The 5th one has perfected the ''tag team'' gameplay presented in WW, and also radically improved the Bombchu's so they're not just a gimmick item anymore.
The 7th one is the most balanced out of all of them, and has the best item in the game, as well as one the most flat out fun bosses I faced in a Zelda game.
So, yeah, I'm in love with this game, and Lineback. (About time Zelda got it's own ''Mr.Satan'')
Whats ironic is that I just bought a used copy of Twilight Princess today. I'll come back once I've finished that ^_^ ;;
I'm loving it! Heading to the game's boss now!
My only problem with the touch screen so far (and I only just got the ship) is that once Link is near the place you want him to go it can be difficult to get him to RUN there… Something to do with the distance to the edge of the screen and how the system handles running vs. walking. Also I don't have the hang of somersaulting at all. Other than that it's pretty breezy and fun so far!
Also to the dude(tte) who asked, you can configure right-handed or left-handed, which only (I think) affects which side of the screen the icons are on.
The game's already out? Ugh, I wish Nintendo Power would have a "Game Release Date" Calendar. They use to have a mini version, but I don't know what happened to it.
Well anyways, I'm getting this game as soon as I can. Heh, just exactly a week from now I got Twilight Princess as a Birthday present (Sept. 28). T'was a happy day ^_^
I was going to get it, but due to my hate of 3D handhelds, I ignored it. I think I might be tactfully forced to get it eventually. Especially if the buyers keep enjoying it so much.
Hopefully picking it up today..
It's amazing how awesome the bosses in this game are, they're pretty much Twilight Princess quality…...on a handheld!
(For those who've finished the game.)
Seriously, if you're worried about the touch screen controls or how well in plays in semi-3D, don't be. The controls are simple once you get used to them, and the graphics are by far the best on the DS.
If you liked Wind Waker and Link to the Past, this game at least deserves to be checked out.
I thought of picking it up on a whim today, but I held off since I have like 3 games I recently bought that I still need to finish.
I always thought it was funny how obvious the Vincent Price-esque character on the cover was some pedophile who wanted to abduct and rape Link
I bought the game earlier and I'm just starting the first dungeon. For anyone who doesn't know registering the game over at the official Nintendo website will get you a free feather stylus but it'll take about 4 weeks to arrive.
So…uh, just a show of hands, did anyone else finish the game?
I'm buying it today. Thank you banquet gratuities.
I've been looking forward to this for a while, but I'm short on money right now, so I'll have to wait to get it.

Most people have probably seen it by now, but I laughed my ass off.

What's wrong with 3D handhelds?
I got it yesterday evening and it's a freaking blast, the boomerang is tons of fun to mess around with, and stealthing about the phantoms is very entertaining. I'm currently on the island with the shovel, and have no idea where to dig to find the second hideout of the adventurer guy.

You dig in front one of the palm trees near the center of the isle.
If you need help with the game, Zentendo has a pretty good video guide at video.google.
(Lucky bastards, I had to pretty much guess my way through the dialougue to progress through the game when I first got it.)
I fckn want this sht so0o0o0o much!

hahaha
I love how he gave the mask a golden shower with his sword, and he just laughed it off.
Yeah, got it today. It's fucking awesome. I'm loving how the control set-up. Everything is done with the stylus. EVERYTHING.
! Beat the first dungeon, now I'm trying to go north through the foggy place, and I'm trying to find that sailor guy's second hideout.
just got it, about to play Now I just got to figure out how to get the money for the Bleach and Phoenix Wright games at the end of the month:happy:
I'm gonna buy Wind Waker first, but after that i sure am gonna pick this up!
The thing about a free stylus.. is that only for America?
Amazing game. Only on the third spirit =\

America and Canda only.
So yeah, anyone know where I can find the ghost ship after I get all three spirits?
You head back into the misty ocean area, the fairies will do the rest by acting like a radar for the Ghost Ship.
Just brace yourself for the only flat-out boring dungeon in the game…
I'll be getting it this Saturday, but I only have one question.
Is there even an option to play with the buttons?
That's not to say I don't want to play it with touch screen controls. In fact, I'm curious as to see how Eiji pulled this one off. Ever since Majora's Mask, he's been doing great, in my opinion…
Buttons can be used for minute actions, like traversing through the menu, but it's all primarily touch screen based.
! A fact that also made puzzles, like the awesome final puzzle in the Sun temple, possible.
It's all stylus, baby. And, in fact the only button you'll use is the L and R buttons for secondary weapons. That and start.
Thanks for the tip WAEF. Waffles.
It's the only thing I'm good for. =(
I absolutely love this game, I'm almost at the sixth dungeon, so I'm at the snowy place. I'll stop there to avoid spoilers.
I love how Phantom Hourglass just took a bunch of elements on Wind Waker and improved upon them, especially sailing - that's really impressive, especially since it's a handheld sequel to a console game. My only slight complaint is that there seem to be a shortage of items in this game. Maybe it's just me, but I feel like there's way less than the other Zeldas.
Oh, and I think the Bombchus are my favorite item rihght now.
I'm so slow, I'm still inside the 2nd dungeon
The only thing that slightly bums me out about this is some of the more frantic activities (fishing, fencing the master) have finally produced the first visible scratches on my touch screen.
So…anyone else not like the Ocean King Temple?
picked this up today, and bah GAWD! It's quite possibly the most fun game I played in a long long time. And is it me, or does Lineback remind you of somebody else we all know and (well, some of us) love.
@Komrade:
So…anyone else not like the Ocean King Temple?
It's just a little boring of a dungeon. That's my problem with it. I just finished it, so it's still fresh in my mind.
hey does anybody know how much they go for at gamestop?
http://www.gamestop.com/
The internet is amazing =O
Just got to Goron Island today at work.
Just got to Goron Island today at work.
Did you read my description or watch the awesome boss video I posted for the dungeon?(if you are ok with minor spoilers…....)
If you did, then you the Goron Temple is going to be awesome, almost as awesome as the Sun Temple or
! Muto's Temple.
I got the game on Thursday and I'm already at the Island of Ruins. It feels like this game is going by way too fast though it's been quite fun throughout.
It sucks that you can't do anything after you beat it… You just go back to before you went in =\
There's always a little thing called ''sidequests.''
What ?
….....You do sidequests after you beat the main game.....you know....fishing and all that shit?
Not really a hard concept. :[
edit: uh.....anyone out there?
