ya didnt expect many to agree but i was curious about opionions is all. maybe there not the same but i can still think it untill its either proven or disproven. there are many other theories out there in mangas that are a lot weirder

I've heard your theory before in other places, actually, though I'm not sure if it's been talked about much in this thread. Knowing Kishimoto, it might just turn out to be true.

Of course, anyone who brings up that theory in the meantime will be horribly mocked by most, and if it turns out to be true in the end, they'll just be told "You only got it right cause you're as stupid as Kishimoto" if they try to say "I told you so."

EDIT: By the way, ffa is Fire First Ace, a poster here who is routinely mocked. (Though not as much as LPS, or Lobster Pot Sticker)

I wasn't saying that myself, I was just reminded of a sig I saw on another forum.

It basically said something like "If it turns out that the 4th Hokage is Naruto's father like you predicted, it's not because you're special, it's because Kishi is as stupid as you are."

And it is a trend I've noticed at times. Sometimes the same posters who make countless threads and posts utterly mocking Kishi for his "stupid and ridiculous plot choices and chapters" will then mock theories for being "stupid and ridiculous." Which I find ironic, considering the fact that if Kishi really is so absurd in his choices, than that would mean those theories would just have a higher chance of coming true.

Imo most theories are just a desperate attempt at adding substance to this stale manga. Some of the biggest plot points turned out to be utter crap now how much thought do you expect Kishi to put into side characters like sai and suigetsu?

Besides, even if all of the most exciting theories turned out to be true their followers would regret ever having wasted time on it the moment Kishi puts it to paper cuz he would find a way to make it suck.

Well the theories most of the time aren't that bad. I would think the indepth character essays are a bit over the top though.

I never thought much of Amaterasu. It's just like, "Hey, a fire jutsu that burns through everything. Fantastic." and then I forgot about it.

Even Tsukoyomi never mattered to me much. Come to think of it, I've always not cared about the Uchihas.

Back to the story, the one good thing about that last chapter is that it most likely means the end of genjutsu in this fight. Sasuke broke out of the strongest known genjutsu in the series, so that's probably the last we'll see of it for now, unless there's a SUPER GENJUTSU revealed later on.

I still haven't read this chapter yet and don't seem to have interest in reading it (or any other manga for that matter). I may be getting older or disillusioned, cuz most manga don't seem to be doin it for me these days. I need to find a manga that can maintain my interest for more than 5 minutes.

And Aethos is probably trollin on behalf of the anime section for the various insults hurled at them, so I wouldn't take him too seriously.

I pretty much agree. Although I wish Kishi could operate at that level. I probably never would have lost interest in the series if that were the case.

I still think that they'll destroy shit with Amaterasu, and the whole thing will just be a genjutsu.

The end of the fight will probably just be interrupted by Zetsu anyway.

Retcons aren't unheard of, though. I'm not certain when the databook in question was written, but perhaps Kishi has changed his mind. Though I haven't seen anything to indicate that thus far.

Well, he's the best character in Team Snake. That doesn't say much though.

I like Kisame, but Suigetsu is pretty retarded, and I hope that fight gets skipped over. I'd also like it if Karin gets killed in the crossfire.

Kishi is practically created her character for the sole purpose of fighting Sakura, and providing the comic relief for Team Sasuke-swoon.

Personality and emotion do not make a good character, specifically when that personality is annoying as hell and that emotion is unbearably ridiculous. I think the only character I hate more is Juugo, and maybe a few of the swirly-eyed bunch.

I think the Suigetsu and Kisame fight might go on for a chapter or two, wiith parts of it wedged in between parts of the Tobi and Naruto confrontation, but I wouldn't expect much more. If Sasuke beats Itachi then I think Suigetsu will beat Kisame for sure.

I'm getting pretty sick of shonen too. I basically read naruto and bleach scans for free boredom relief.

Getting sick of shonen manga seems pretty easy to me. It's a pretty limited and circular sub-genre, full of corny and stilted dialog. Sure it's fun, but it gets to a point where you just have to turn your off brain and not think about the details if you wanna enjoy it. It's written for kids, after all.

But obviously, shonen isn't all there is to manga. There's plenty of mature stuff to read out there, and that's where the medium really shines.
