MUGEN? Sounds nifty.
The sprites somewhat remind me of Ragnarok Online's sprites though.
I also spotted Pheonix Wright in the list apparently. =P
With over 900 characters, this will never end up balanced, just tossing it out.
Could still be some fun though.

Actually, it isn't DS. It isn't Official. It is actually M.U.G.E.N and Fan made.
First beta will have Cloud, Mega Man, Link and someone else whom I forgot.

These things always got on my nerves.
Since Joe Schmoe can just make his own character and have him be statistically stronger than anything else in the game.
Popeye and Captain Caveman were pretty awesome, though. I just loved the concept more than anything.
No JoJo peple makes me sad, same with lack of Wild Arms 2's Brad, but Dist and Killua make up for that, maybe? I may check this out.

I saw the trailer and besides the sprites, it doesn't looks good at all. I was hoping this played similar to Smash or something but it's just another generic Mugen title.
Another thing I always hated was there being 500 different versions of any given character by several different people
I was actually surprised by the lack of JoJo and Hokuto No Ken people, as popular as they are they still diden't make the cut.
The sad thing about that list is that for every good or awesome character, theres like five more douchefags i don't care about.
The fact that Don Patch was one of the first characters I saw made me very happy.
But this looks like total malarky. A MUGEN-ish card battle system sounds incredibly lame, especially considering that (as most have pointed out) there are much too many of the lame characters and series and too little of the classics and good ones.
The Cards have nothing to do with the game except for the fact that it took it's sprite style.
The creators stated they obviously aren't making the entire gallery they had, but only characters they want.
