What was the first anime you were obsessed with, and how old were you when you found it?

Sailor Moon, then Dragonball Z. Thing about DBZ was thought it was about people who became giant animals and fought (they showed an Oozaru is almost every single commercial).

I thought that Sailor Moon was the most amazing thing in the world when I was about 8-9. I still have a few volumes/issues of the manga from back then. After that, Gundam Wing. Now I'm perplexed as to how I had the patience for it.
After my initial anime/manga phase, I ditched both for several years before picking up on it again with Lupin III.

Pokemon was my first anime obsession. After that though, I really didn't watch much anime. I got back into it when I started watching FMA, then I became obsessed with it and then it came to One Piece.

For me it was Pokemon and Digimon. (I think Digimon came first though) My little sister was (and still is) really into "My Neighbour Totoro". I didn't really watch anime that much until I saw One Piece.

My first one was Pokemon when I was 11. I had seen the show, and it got me into the video game. Before I knew it, I started collecting the cards and playing that card game. I even had a Pokemon themed birthday party Shudders
It switched to Dragonball Z about a year later, and that was my big obsession until finding out about One Piece about 5 years after that.

Tenchi Muyo, back when I was 13. I feel in love with almost all the characters and I watched it religiously. It was also the first series that began my fascination with Japanese culture.

Sailor Moon, Pokémon, then Dragonball Z. Was extremely obsessed with Dragonball Z for a very long time. Would watch Gohan turn SSJ2 every morning before school.
Stopped reading manga/watching anime for about 3-4 years after that, which only changed after discovering One Piece. Am now reading about a bazillion series at one time.

The first thing that really "got me into" anime was Cowboy Bebop
I remember that was the first time I stayed up really late. And before that when I couldn't keep myself away for that long I went to the store and bought the DVDs one by one

The first anime I ever watched was sailor moon, it came out early in the morning, then it was Pokemon, then Digimon (those are probably the first naime I watched, but at that time, I never knew they were anime because I didn't use Internet at that time for researching). Then probably the next was yugioh, but I didn't know that was anime too, oh yeah I use to watch cardcaptors before yugioh, and after it was more recent shows

Pokemon lasted for 3 years, then DBZ on the very same day started. Lasted for.. 3-4 years. After that I was just crazy about anime in general like an idiot until I settles with HxH and OP, then I met other good ones. And now it's a little mix between some.
