I am a BIG fan of one piece, and i was playing stellarconflict(www.gecko-games.com) and in that you can create squads and name them and create a base,and such and such,and i saw a squad base named "luffie". and the leader said it was meant as "the main character from one piece". I WAS FURIOUS! wrong info of one piece being known to other people JUST MAKE ME MAD!!!(im a big fan, after all) I felt like i would go up to that guy in person and spit in his face!

Yeah! It's not really that big of a deal. Just a little mistranlation is all. Some people call Sanji 'Steve' and some call Usopp 'Liar Boo'. I find it hilarious really. x3

My mom sometimes watchs One Piece and the other day she was talking t me about a cetain episode and she went along the lines of "I'am at the episode where Clark Dell fights Luffy"
I'am like, what!!!, who's Clark Dell, then my mom's like, you know Clark Dell, the boss of Baroque Works!!
Then I'am like "God, the guy's name is Crocodile, not Clark Dell" :lol:

well the reason why it upsets me when it's not a phonetic translation is because sometimes there's a reason for the name, like the "D" in luffy's name. especially if the series isn't done yet, you don't know if the artist is gonna make some kind of connection with the name.
