God, I remember when this played on Adult Swim. I saw a few episodes and fell in love with it. But I never saw anything past where his bothers were introduced (second season/arc? I could be mistaken). Ichigo (I think) and what's-his-face (I can't remember names either! XD dear lord.)

I've only seen the Hakkaider movie by Keita Amemiya. I thought it was fun, although it apparently has a bad reputation among Kikaider fans.
I want to read more of Ishinomori's stuff though. I have the ten volumes of Cyborg 009 Tokyopop released in the US. And I have HK dvds of the 2001 Cyborg 009 anime (since the official dvds never finished).
I remember it, but vaguely.

And yes, Cyborg 009 was a delicious anime to watch. I really wish they hadn't taken it off the air.
I don't remember it that much because I missed a few episodes but I guess out of the brothers my favorite would have to be the 02 I think. ( The one with the wrist machine gun and the sunbeam cannon.)
My favorite would have to be Jiro's enemy brother guy. I always thought he looked cool.
Oh, I forgot. I also have all of the recent Skull Man manga (not done by Ishinomori, but based on notes he wrote before he died). Kikaider makes a one panel cameo appearance in it (along with other Ishinomori characters).

I sort of remember watching this when it was on Adult Swim. Though the only thing I can remember was the Osamu Tezuka-esque character designs, and that one girl who for some reason reminded me of Olive Oyl from Popeye.

Yeah, Ishinomori (and also another kind of famous manga artist, Yokoyama) was an assistant or something for Tezuka, so the art is similar (I remember Ishinomori and Yokoyama both helped draw some Astro Boy stories).

I've been wanting to upload some clips of the Cyborg 009 remake, but I'll need to rip my dvds. And right now I only have around 1 GB of space left on my hard disk, and I think I need 4 GB or something to rip them. So I'll need to backup some stuff and then delete it but I'm too lazy.
The 2001 remake seems to follow the manga fairly closely, although there are still some differences.
What are the differences??

I remember wanting to finish it but it was cancelled ( I think the last episode I saw was when they reach a zombie island and the scientist are animals.)

Well, there were quite a few. Some are minor, but others are more important.
Some quick examples (before I go to bed):
In the manga there is a story about Vietnam, but in the anime they make it about Africa. Cyborg 008's backstory is different and related to this story.
Also Cyborg 008 has a different design of course (although technically he was first redesigned in one of the '80s movies).
Some of the other cyborgs have their histories altered a little. There are more episodes about the characters.
I've been meaning to make a Cyborg 009 thread eventually, and if I do, I'll try to think of more differences.

oh god, most definitely. I love that peppy feel to it. The shows, Kikaider, 009, etc, have absolutely beautiful story lines AND the style is just amazing. I can't help but adore it.

I haven't seen much of the Anime, but I'm a huge fan of the live action show, mainly because it aired on most of the local channels in Hawaii a few years back. If you can't find the epiodes online I'd highly recomend buying the DVDs.

For those who just watched the anime on Adult Swim and were left depressed by the ending of the 4-part OVA, this is the direct-to-DVD special that was released in Japan, but not in the USA, that serves as a much more positive ending to the story.

Yes, this is fansubbed, English and Portuguese. I recommend using VLC and you might need to manually enable them, since I need to do that for some reason.
-hopefully the link will still work, I might need to upload a new one soon. There is an unsubbed version of this on youtube, but this is the first subbed version I've ever found.
This is based on the original manga issue that introduced one Inazuman, who had his own manga and live action show in the 70s. This special was released about the same time Kikaider was airing in the US, so I don't think they ever bothered to license it…probably was problematic to begin with having a character from a whole other series in it. But if you liked Kikaider the animation at all, this is a must see.
I happen to own the whole animated series on DVD, it was nice to watch it all together. 
Kind of makes me wish I could read Inazuman, butterfly boy and his friends seem like fun bunch.
Oh yeah, and Inazuman/Sabu is voiced my Kappei Yamaguchi
