stephen or any of my LOST brothers and sisters, I'm looking in your direction. Since I live in Japan and getting a drama isn't always the easiest thing (Twin Peaks just came out on DVD) for me to watch a US series usually requires massive downloading which I'm not a big fan of.

But if a series is good enough, well hell yeah I'll download it.

So how is this series? I've read the drama surrounding its finale etc. What's the big deal? Is it really that interesting?

Is it closer to Heroes quality or Lost?

I'd say it's more Heroes than Lost, with plenty of ups and downs along the way, but worth it.
Most of the characters aren't particularly interesting or charismatic (and that's its biggest flaw imo) - but the general plot is good and the last few episodes were kickass, that's for sure.

I see some people bashing Jericho for not showing too much of "the conflict", but i don't think that was the main point to begin. If you're looking for a dramatic insight into a small town surviving a war, go for it.

It's a fairly serviceable LOST-alike, it follows that big mystery, small portions structure pretty closely, definitely not as well as that island show. The characters aren't overly endearing or particularly interesting, the writing is sort of spotty too, and you can feel there's probably a butt load of inconsistencies, if you really pay attention.

Overall the 'mystery' itself is sort of touch & go in areas, some developments will leave your mouth agape and others will stir no emotions whatsoever. Basically, if a guy called Hawkins isn't on screen, then more than likely it's not that important (really)

But yeh, it's worth a look if you haven't already omae. Download it, pace it out over the next few weeks, in time for Season 2 in Jan and then before you know it, it'll be Feb & that wacky plane crash show will be back.
