since the gif is 102 404 byte big for me im guessing that the 97.7kb limit will make it an even 100 000 byte?

102404 bytes is there, yes. But the main size says to be 100kb, and I know it's dead on there somehow cause it was 100kb, not 100.1kb or otherwise.

I don't know about the 97.7 kb thing, but you could chop off a few seconds from the gif so you could use it. Or merely use a still shot of the guy.

I ripped the frames and made the gif, it was originally around 500kbs. I did all I could while still making it good. But this isn't about the avatar per-say, but the actual reason why the limit is such an odd setting as 97.7kbs.

It's probably a "1k=1024" versus "1k=1000" argument.
97.7 x 1024 = 100 044 bytes.
It's probably an attempt to limit to 100,000 exactly, and the display is rounded to one decimal place because few people will press their luck.
Now, my question is was this the intended image, or some attempt by the moderating staff to smack down actual Perona porn?
