It's true that bear is read as "kuma" in Japanese but this is only when it's read byitself. When it's combined with another kanji it's often read as "guma" for either easier pronunciation or it just sounds better. Japanese is hard…...

Now that I think about it, I wonder if Oda-san is using a play on words on "Akuma" (Devil)? If that's the case, then maybe it is "Makuma". In any case, we would know when a cleaner version comes out.

If it was written "火竜", then yes, it would be fire/flame dragon. But it was written "飛竜" so I think "Flying Dragon" would be more accurate.

"Ofuero" makes me think of "Orpheus" – and there is a prelude in the Orpheus operetta, but I doubt that's what Oda was thinking of :

Gerchalk, this translation is created only for the benefit of the fans who don't want to wait for a proper scanlation to come out. That's why we find it so valuable and that's why it isn't for use with scanlations. Some people who translate chapters don't want their names to be associated with scanlations (for legal reasons), but don't want their hard work stolen either.
If you can't abide by the request of the translator, then the translator may not translate for us again, and we all lose out that way.

Hopefully this makes it clear?

To put it in simple terms: when someone says "no" they mean "no".
Just because you don't understand the logic doesn't mean you can ignore the "no".

Natli, I'm not sure exactly either, but my best guess is this: when Zoro says "let's pretend it didn't happen", he is attempting to console Ryuma, because Ryuma feels so shameful about having been defeated. Zoro is reminding Ryuma that this loss won't diminish Ryuma's legend for these reasons: (1) because it occurred long after Ryuma died, (2) because it happened against Ryuma's will – Moria had brainwashed Ryuma and (3) because Brook's shadow was animating his body, so it wasn't as if Ryuma had been completely himself while fighting Zoro.

That's probably also why Zoro said "I would like to have met you when you were alive in your time" -- because Ryuma would have been acting on his own will, and with his own shadow, and at full strength.

Who knows how the battle would have turned out if they'd met when Ryuma was still alive!

I'm not part of any scanlation team, I don't know anyone that does scanlation. I just found it perplexing that someone would offer something like this for free in a medium where it can easily be stolen and taken advantage of.

It's like keeping a fresh batch of chocolate chip cookies under a glass dome with a bell attached. Or like a painting at a museum. Look but don't touch kind of thing. I understand now.

Chapter 462 mentions: he's the legendary samurai who once cut down a dragon (exactly like the story in WANTED!).
