Okay, so uh...I just was wandering around Toys R Us when I found a something that almost made me shit on the spot.
G1 Transformers.
Prime, Megatron, SOUNDWAVE and Star Scream
Fucking Megatron is a black REALISTIC handgun with stock and sight.
What the shit? Did I stumble upon a reissue not in the States?
My brother is a BIG Transformers fan. He's got all those G-1 figures, although I think he's missing Star Scream. Hmm, that might actually be a good gift to get him for his birthday.
I don't have transformers(like g1 or the movie), but I had a shitload of beast wars figures.
Transmetal Cheetor, Transmetal Ratrap, Transmetal Optimus, Sliverbolt, and quickstrike were probably my favorite. They were so much fun when I was a kid though, brings back good memories.

Yeah, they've been making those reissues for a while in Japan. There was a small wave of reissues in the US too, but mostly I find the Japanese ones at cons and stuff. I saw a reissue of Rodimus Prime at Comic-Con. The nostalgia as I held the box was really unreal, lol. I remember the day I got that toy so clearly, and it was, in fact, before the movie actually came out. I still have it too, he's not in great shape though.
The Japanese get a series called "Encore Edition" where G1 characters get rereleased. First you guys get Music Label Soundwave (which my cousin is picking up for me now in Japan. I cant wait to get a Soundwave that plays music) then Masterpiece Megatron, now this. Damn you Takara!
However America gets a G1 reissue: Ultra Magnus at Wal-Mart. Plus we get Masterpiece Starscream in G1 colors. Yay.
So if I were to accumulate a large number of said Megatrons would they sell reasonably well to American fans. Say for instance at an online auction.
I'd buy one, oh God, how I'd buy one.
As would I. I only have G1 Soundwave, Ravage, Laserbeak, Skorponok, and Prime. I would love Megs.

He is apparently the most complex Transformer ever.
And the screws come out. Still the Masterpiece line owns. Prime, Starscream, Megatron, Ultra Magnus Prime, the realistic Starscream that can be used as a Thundercracker, and Skywarp. They have to do Ironhide/ Ratchet next.
