One Piece: Unlimited Cruise - Episode: 1 & 2 (PAL Releases Announced)
-
-
Ok. This is REALLY starting to bug me.
Is there ANY way to make Franky playable at all? Seriously. he's too slow to get in pretty much ANY attack save for his special. Its annoying when ones like Nami and Usopp who started off like him become so powerful while Franky just seems to become slower and slower.

I agree, I find him extremely slow aswell. Do you unlock Nightmare Luffy and Rampaging Chopper in Boss Rush. If so then in which round?
-
There are two ways to unlock Nightmare Luffy: fight him on Island 2 or the secret way. Monster Chopper can be fought on Island 3.
-
has the news about the so called game announcement come up yet?
i dont know what day the Funimation announcement is -
Continues to pray and hope for SOME form of intelligence from ANYONE for the hope of this game come here
-
Well. I didnt think Hard Mode was all it was cracked up to be…
that was untill I fought Spandam and Kiji >.< Spandam's a bitch in himself. Well. His pals are. and Kiji's Special managed to OHKO both Robin and Chopper (my strongest two.)Also. Moria on Boss Rush = EVIL. Seriously. Its pretty much IMPOSSIBLE to avoid his special.
-
Wanted to give you guys a heads-up from Anime Expo. According to Adam Sheehan from FUNimation, while he doesn't know if there are plans to release this game stateside (since that's not FUNImation's decision) he did say Namco Bandai is more interested in doing more "One Piece" games.
-
Okay… that's good. Maybe they just don't want to release sequels? Sounds stupid, but it could be the case... For example; they released Grand Battle, and none of the other Grand Battle games, but still released other One Piece games.
So perhaps we might get one of the next One Piece games to come out in the future.
-
Probably talking about the DS and PSP ones. Hopefully UC 3
-
It just means Namco Bandai is interested in doing more "One Piece", I don't see how that could mean anything other than that they're considering any number of games including "Unlimited Cruise".

that sounds good…I think.:wassat:

gasps
HOOOOOOOOOOOOPE!!!
And I shall cling to it with my dear life.
-
OK. Not sure here. Caught every fish and all insects and only have two more things to cook. One I know all the ingrediants but the other (Ancient-Recipie Soup.) I can't find the last ingrediant for. I have the Starfish and the insect thing.
EDIT: Nevermind. Didnt realise it was those things in the water on Island 4
Also made Giant Shell Boat. God. I was hoping it would gives some significant stat increase to SP instead of 30…
-
Hi there.
Did anyone of you find eastereggs yet?
I found only! Some weird creatures near the kuwagata point for the secret boss on island 1
swiming zombies on the big rock in the north (island 2)
and a pandaman crawling at the ceiling  near the entrance (island 4)Also, do I need to beat Boss Rush on Hard for 100%? If so I will have to make many many more Dishes.
-
What does the vision dial do?
I got it but it prompted no development idea just some dialogue about dealing with it when I got back to the sunny.Nothing has happened since.
I’ve also completed it on normal.
Are your items/upgrades carried over into hard mode?Hi there!
The vision Dial is there so that you can view all the character models of the game…that's it...
Nothing really major - but it's nice to zoom in and see all the characters... In Ep2, the same option exists... Oz stands in the water around Sunny...it's rather funny... Shame he's not playable...
There should be a menu option available once you've unlocked the vision dial if you venture into the women's change room (just underneath where the helm is at the front of Sunny) - in the red treasure chest there, should be the third option I believe.
The things carried over to Hard/Very hard mode are
-HP and SP for each character
- Key items like pickaxe, but net, vacuum and fishing rod upgrades
-Moves. No other items (like HP and SP capsules, food, raw materials etc in your backpack or the storage room)
- Key items like pickaxe, but net, vacuum and fishing rod upgrades

There's pandaman in every level if you can find him. :)
Hmmmmm… If you mean the -No items- hard mode, then yes you need to beat that atleast once.
But for both Normal and Hard Boss Rushes, you can beat them on Normal difficulty and be done with them. No need to do them again unless you want to
-
Yeah, I meant the "no-items-challenge". My best was against Chopper with the Rumble Balls permanently. It is extremely annoying to increase the sp maximum, so the Strawhats all have around 250 points and thats probably not enough.
-
Question. In episode 2 do you get to go into the other locked rooms? Kinda a shame that we dont get to go in the Library and such (especially seeing how boring the boy's room is. I think I've seen ONE instance where somebody is in there.)
-
Ah crap, I just restarted the game on hard mode… in episode 2 when you transfer data but you haven't gotten all the charaters is it possible to transfer again when we have?
Yes, and no.
Yes it's possible… All you have to do is collect the other missing characters (I'm assuming Kuma, the final Boss, maybe some of the generic enemies, and Arlong/Calgara?) - and then select one of the spare save files on Ep2 (you have three available to use) and then import it. It doesn't matter even if the save file doesn't actually have any progress at all, but it saves a snapshot of everything you've unlocked including VS mode characters and then imports them into Ep2… Voila~ all ep1 characters carried over.
Now, you can unlock everycharacter and move from Ep2 alone...if it's unlocking, then you don't actually need to have Ep1, however you miss all the sweet boss fights, islands, and ofcourse it's alot tought to start Ep2 from scratch... also to unlock the same characters, you have to finish Ep2 on Normal, Hard and then play Unlimited Mode, get to Boss Rush mode, and beat it...which would take the better part of 40-60 hours if not more anyway...
-
caught the ice beetle after about 20 goes
any 1 got tactic to beat spandam and aokijiRobin is a great boon for this fight - My biggest suggestion is either using Robin or Usopp if possible to run away from Spandam, try and keep him in sight though, and get rid of the Agents/Marines - if you can, it's easy pickings…
Ahaha, those Agents can be a pain.
Anyway, I spent the past hour doing research on who modified the music to the game. I noticed in this topic also it was brought up a couple of times but never talked about. Looking at the stats of the Youtube video (the one I posted just earlier), it links back to a user called Ancient on a site called Wiisos, a site for Spanish speakers to be frank.
Using Google's translation feature (and signing up to the forum) the user stated that he did modify the music by himself, but I don't see him giving any files or instructions on which files are the ones to be modified.
It's a shame, really. Maybe later I'll go to some Wii hacking board asking for assistance in modifying Cruise to play music from the anime instead.
You have some very keen thoughts, Jinjo. I for one was so incredibly hooked by the prospect of Ep2 having unlockable themes from the anime during Unlimited mode etc… to say my hopes were crushed is an understatement... To know now that through the magic of hacking - that there may be light for this, is a very nice way to end my day. Please keep me posted if you find anything. :)

Every single locked room is accessible eventually - I'll show a tour of Sunny soon enough. The library is very beautiful, as is the womens bathroom
-
I beat the final boss a couple of days ago, along with most of the secret bosses ( as far as i know, i only need to beat Nightmare Luffy) but it seems like I havent unlocked boss rush. How do I do that?
-
go to Island 5 and read the tablet to the right again.
-
I'll try that, thanks.
By the way, my progress is 37% at the moment. If I restart on hard now, will i be able to get 100%, or are there some things i need to do on normal first? Like beating all the secret bosses, boss rush etc?
-
You can do everything in Hard Mode that you could do in easy. Only difference is enemies are a bit harder.
-
Boss Rush (normal and hard seperated) and all secret bosses just need to be beaten once, you can do everything in hard, but it will be harder if you don't have the techniques at level 5 already.
-
Just got done checking out UC2's new moves, let me say their very awesome, I can't wait to start mixing and matching.
I just beat the game my first time on normal at 66%, sadly I forgot that you lose all your items when you restart the new game+ and I had 5 Seaking shells at the time… DOH
Oh well, I'll get them back, I'm also not sure, but fishing seems to be "Harder" now the ballon catfish was able to take huge chunks off my max level fishing rod and their is no way it's THAT strong, atleast I don't remember it being that strong.
Tried, boss rush normal, made it to battle 29 without any healing items, so if I get the healing Items I'll be good, Moria did one hell of a number on my :(, also did anyone notice they have the undead knights who if I am not mistaken should not show up till UC2?
Also Nightmare Luffy, is a REALLY cheap enemy, and he sucks to play as since you don't get 2 of his moves, "wine bottle fire blast" and "Soru katana Slash", and also he uses Gomu Gomu no storm WAY WAY to often, plus his defense is OUTRAGEOUS.
It's also interesting to see how much of a connection to the previous game this one has, the recent info has shown they really did plan for this to be a sequel in many ways to UA.

This!
I can’t believe how quickly I was taken out by Spanda and his men in hard mode. The agents shot most of the Strawhats to death as soon as they entered. I mean come on, haven’t the developers heard of something called recovery time?
-

Yeah I'm sure I figured out what files they are that needs to be modified. I looked into the original Japanese ISO of UC1, and there isn't the crazy mess that the PAL version has. The background music is in the 2nd partition -> Sound folder -> "temp" folder.
In the PAL version, the music has multiple copies of bgm throughout the partitions, even in the "nowloading" folder, and even all the voice clips/music from Episode 2 (the JAP didn't have those).
Seems like for the PAL release they were testing everything.
So I'm still working on trying to figured out how to properly change the audio. bgm91.brstm is the main title theme for example. And I may have figured out how to swap the audio using a program designed to decode and recode brstm files (on a SSBB site). The one mistake I was doing earlier was resampling the rate to Brawl's files, instead of UC1's. Complicated **** if you ask me.
I'm just waiting for my external HDD to come in the mail so I can put my test ISOs on that, instead of wasting DVDs that wind up being corrupted. It should come in Wednesday. I've already wasted three DVDs, probably cause either A) I need to Trucha sign BOTH partitions after editing, or B) make sure the rate is 45000 Hz, not 32000 Hz (Brawl's)
This is the tool that messes with the brstm files (streaming audio format that some games use):
http://stacksmash.cultnet.net/communitycostumes/123forum/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=70&sid=a7927737cac539cab91fcf79199accfcNow for my questions.
So you can totally mix and match movesets in UC2. Like you could set it up to do this?:
Pistol/Shotgun -> Whip -> Battle Axe
And so I guess you can set up 2 different kinds of custom movesets that the 2 button switches them or something?
And also, I found that it seems like Zoro's special: 3000 Worlds at Level 10 is a OHKO against bosses in Boss Rush on Normal. I'd recommend it for Chopper/Moria/Nightmare Luffy. This may require confirmation.
-
I'm also not sure, but fishing seems to be "Harder" now the ballon catfish was able to take huge chunks off my max level fishing rod and their is no way it's THAT strong, atleast I don't remember it being that strong.
The ballon catfish is like that in normal too.

Yeah, you can't evade his special attack . Personally I hate Ao Kiji and Blackbeard, because Ao Kiji always moves away when I reached him or he does his freezing move. And Blackbeard has a hard to dogde special attack.
It really gets hard when they throw in two bosses at once later on.
And its really disappointing you can't unlock the general zombies in ep1 even they're in.Also Nightmare Luffy, is a REALLY cheap enemy, and he sucks to play as since you don't get 2 of his moves, "wine bottle fire blast" and "Soru katana Slash", and also he uses Gomu Gomu no storm WAY WAY to often, plus his defense is OUTRAGEOUS.
He has those moves, he switches them randomly when doing the shake move.
-
Strange when I look at his moveset on survival I only see his A, AA, the shake move for the bow, and the Gomu Gomu Storm, how does one use the other 2 moves?
I have been reading up on this and every piece I can confirm form people who have the JP version is you can mix them up you can mix and match movesets.
So if I understand it correctly you can change A from UC1's pistol/kurisagama to UC2's bullet/shotgun, and still keep AA whip and AAA Battleaxe from UC1.
Also changing from ballon to yari will be a must… to bad we STILL do not have Hanabi/Fireworks as his jump charge move :( I REALLY want that move.
It works just like how you would change the ultimates, so not far fetched at all really either.
Plus now it seems with the giganto ultimates Pistol and Rifle you can use them WITHOUT having to be in gear second, like how it was in UA.
The newer dash and jumping brook attacks are GREAT and I can't wait to change them.
Now I DONT believe though you can change them in such a way thats makes completely custom combo's, such as A=Battleaxe, AA=Bazooka, and AAA= Bullet/shotgun,but I haven't been able to confirm that, I would assume you can't go THAT far with mixing them.
But still being able to change the ones you can are still helpful.
-

Well, I should check again, but I remember using fireballs, bow and slash attack all with the shake move in survival.
EDIT I checked and it is as I said. Just shake the Wiimote and he will do all three moves eventually.
-
Ah ok, kool at least that works thanks for the info :)
-
Ah man, I'm so ashamed of myself because the reason why the edited ISO didn't work was because I forgot to change the region on the ISO from PAL to NTSC. XP My console is hard-modded, so I don't use a Loader to force NTSC. I usually convert it with Regionfrii. le sigh
Anyway, The guy in the Youtube video that changed the music responded to my Private Message saying he no longer had the files he used due to him formatting his computer. It's all good though, I figured out what songs he used (in the UC2 opening video he used the last part of the full "Brand New World" song for example), and how to have them replace the old files. If only I knew exactly which files were used in the PAL version. There's too many junk files. Music files from Unlimited Adventure and Music/sound files from Unlimited Cruise Episode TWO!
Plus, this forum is amazing for hacking music. It's focused on changing the music in SSBB which works for One Piece because the games use the same format for streaming audio (brstm)! You have to sign up in the forum, but check out the topic "Music Guide and FAQ". Only thing that the guide doesn't up-to-date is that Wiiscrubber is now 1.3.

I'll give some extra info, and my thoughts in a little bit - gotta shoot off home...

thanks but i beat them already with ussops special and some tonics
a question, after u beat the game on normal do i go start on save file 1? for hard mode?
and what is the cool hardened lava and where to find it
thank you

Ah yeah, this is similar to the custom music for guitar hero and the Naruto PS2 games is it not?
I was gonna use this means to undub Grand Adventure but might have a go at dubbing UC with it…. where avaliable of course.
EDIT:...Actually, that could be a really good idea.... Most of the characters occur in both...
and why not try to place in voices from other sources that could be fitting for the non-English characters?

Yeah, you start the hard mode on the same file. Just press C when you are over the file. But if you don't want to, you can revisit your save from normal mode for Boss Rush.
The lava is on island four near the first boss. Just dig it up at the crossmarks in the ground.

you have to hold C o.O
thx for lava location
-
Looks like I'm at the final boss. Should I beat the extra bosses first or just fight the last boss now?
-
Your choice. Either beating them later in hard mode, or unlocking them right now. The result is the same.
-
I unlocked them all in Boss Rush XD
-
I unlocked them all in Boss Rush XD
Yeah, thats the easiest way, since they all have less HP
-
I am definitaly gonna fight em during tho. I only got Buggy's last time lol.
And I REALLY wanna see Robin and Brook's reaction to Monster Point.
-
Can you only unlock Monster Point Chopper in Boss Rush?
-
In fact everyone else, too!
-
Check out my current progress with my character's HP/SP stats:
Luffy, Zoro, Nami, and Usopp's moves are all at Level 10 (with the exceptions of Nami's specials, and Usopp's Hammer Comet Co-op special)
I'm gonna focus on maxing out the HP/SP for the characters (1000 each) for Episode 2 when it comes out. One thing about Episode 2 is how it raises the cap for HP, but not SP. So if I get SP to max now, I won't have to worry about doing so for Episode 2 since HP goes up really quickly per Sea King dish (+150 on average).
