I want a japanese ps2 and i have searched a couple places and i want the sakura one (i am a guy but it still cool lookin and no i am not gay) but would anyone know where i could buy one because there either out of stock or really really over priced

Because you probably won't find one for less than $200.

Do you have a US PS2? If you do and are looking to play import games, just get a flip top and a boot disc. I'll help you if need be.

Don't even bother with a flip top. Get the swap disc. It's stupidly simple and your system remains 99.9% unchanged.

you can check e-bay… other than that www.liksang.com or www.ncsx.org. make sure you compare shipping prices too. btw, games that need the japanese HDD won't be compatible with a swap disk/ mod chip american ps2.

Yeah, just mod it… You'll be able to play Japanese games + burned games. Mine works fine +_+ Oh but sometime Japanese characters show in garbage lol But I'm sure somebody can help you with better swappers.

this guys is looking for a specific color… not just the ability to play japanese games... at least that's what it looks like in the first post.

But does he need it for that? I mean, if he's looking for a color that's one thing or the very rare games that make use of HDD. But if you're just looking for the ability to play normal games, you should try disc swap. Cheap, doesn't void the warranty and works like a charm.
