In chapter 501 (http://www.onemanga.com/One_Piece/501/02/) did Garp go to Shanbody Archipelago? If so what did he do there? Because next time we see him, he is at Impel Down with Ace.
Questions That Don't Deserve Their Own Thread

no i just think he send those marines to the human auction house
nothing more -
I was wondering about Arlongs crew. Normaly throughout the series Sanji tends to fight the guy who is one step below Zoro's opponent. Not really that much behind, but as far as ranking is concerned, Mr 2, Jyabura, etc.
But what about Kurobi, and Hatchi. Hatchi seemed so dumb, I always ranked him below Kurobi. Kurobi just came off as more of a leader than Hatchi did. So is it ever mentioned any where if Kurobi is a higher officer in Arlongs crew?
speaking of them, as far as fighting ability goes, Chuu, Hatchi, and Kurobi all seemed pretty equal in their respective fighting styles. Says allot about Usopp.
-
All their introduction boxes had the same title; although I forget what it is exactly. Besides, Arlong is too smart to let Hatchi be First Mate.
-
When Inazuma was first shown he looked like a man, then he took off his glasses to reveal that he was a she, breasts and all. I'm reading the break out again, and everyone refers to her as a he, pluss the boobs are allot less noticable if Oda even drew them at all.
Anyone know the deal with her/him?
-
You mean why Inazuma appears both as a male and a female? I assume it was because of Iva's hormones. As for calling Inazuma he or she, the okamas don't really care since to them, gender is irrelevant.
-
Have Oda ever stated which character does he like the most?
-
^^ he loves all his children:wub:
-
I think it's a draw between Usopp, Nami, and Buggy.
-
This current story arc got me wondering. I know it was frequently referred to during Enies Lobby, and also during the Baroque Works title page story, but when was the first time it was ever brought up?
-
364 as far as I recall.
-
364 as far as I recall.

Huh ?

Huh ?
Just before u answered I checked op wiki and it said 362 but right after u answered it said 364 ^^

We all saw it in the new chapter: Laffite has wings now…
OMG WTF ROFLMAO and all that, yeah, I know.
But I need somebody with a good eye here! Does he still have his arms?
[hide] [/hide]
To me it looks like he lost them. It looks like his empty sleeves are dangling in the air, no hands there.
What would that tell us about his devilfruit (I think it's save to assume it's a devilfruit power)?
Other bird Zoans, like Pell still had their human arms when in their hybrid form IIRC…
Could he be something else than a Zoan (maybe something that just gives him wings) ?
Or is he just very good a handling his power? -
He has probably eaten the Bird Bird Fruit: model…I don't know. I'm guessing either seagul or albatross.

Question: How exactly is Silvers Rayleigh's name pronounced? In the anime, it is pronounced as Ray-lee and that just sounds wrong to me for some reason. Before that, I never even thought about it.
-
OK, thanks for the information. Somehow I thought it was mentioned even further back, but I guess 364 is almost two hundred chapters ago now. Incidentally, I just realized that it's been a hundred chapters since Ace fought Blackbeard.

I'm not sure what an OP WIKI is but I certainly didn't touch it.

Would you please stop posting stuff like that? When we use the same name, you set me in a bad light by felling that way about the wiki… Please think before you post... We have to share the same image, and now every one thinks I'm an OP WIKI-hater...:getlost:
Don't post crap on these forums!

You know, you could just change your image.

And get a better name maybe.

And perhaps Log off and never return? Joking =)
I don't get why this has its own thread? Surely it could have gone here
http://www.apforums.net/showthread.php?t=22347BTW… Nice find Gabbe, I had know idea it was mentioned that far back. I think I might trawl the earlier chapters in the hope of discovering other clues to future location

Foxy can slow down objects right? but if he Noro beamed Kizaru during his Light speed moving would he still be travelling at a fast pace, or what? Is it slowed to an exact speed or reduced by times whatever speed?
Same applies for Enel, Kuro, Cp9 Soru
-
You mean Kizaru? I imagine he would be slowed to Enel's speed, Enel would be slowed to Soru/Kuro's speed, and CP9 would be reduced to normal speed.
I'd like to see Foxy vs. Kuro. He'd be blind, yet slow enough for Foxy to shoot with a canon atleast.

I think the problem has more to do with the ray-lee ending

Yes, I thought that also. Is anyone able to answer this for me?

Ah~ one of those. I don't bother with them. Stuff managed by a group of fans is usually a steaming pile and tends to go with popular fan beliefs regardless of whether they're actually correct or not ^_^;
That's why I manage my own site.

Maybe if you read through some of it, you'd know just how bias it really is.

I can't get the sound file to work, but that's ok. I'll take your word for it.Ray-lee still sound weird though :getlost:

That's because pronunciation is regional, like cot vs. caught. I know people who pronounce their surname "Rah-lay" instead.

Yeah, I can think of several ways off the top of my head to pronounce it, though the one that I would probably use in conversation is Rai-lee. But I'm pretty sure I've said it as Rah-lay in the past. Shrugs It's as ybmc says, all up to who you're talking to.

Oh I did. Suspicions were confirmed almost instantly:
While Kinjishi made the record of being the first person to break-out of the prison,
Interesting. Where'd they hear that?
Along with these beasts, the prison is guarded by a force of Marine battleships
Where was it confirmed that they are always there? I'm half asking this out of curiosity. It seems like something that could be possible however I don't recall it.
the Haribarisou (針グ草, needle grass?), is as spiky as needles.
The Japanese is incorrect.
The words they speak are mostly things they heard from the prisoners so some of the things that they say are completely out of place.
Completely out of place or simply unexpected? Seems natural that prisoners would call out for objects of desire such as food or intimate talk.
Re: Level 2
The riot however is currently being quelled down by Saldeath and his Blue Gorillas.
Still?
These wolves roam around the level like the beasts of Level 2, where they were originally stationed at. However, they proved to be too brutal to be in Level 2 as they also hunted the other beasts as well, including the Basilisk and the Sphinx.
Someone blatantly made this up. It was never said that they were stationed there nor was it even remotely suggested that they actually DID hunt them.
The section on New-Kama Land and Trivia completely neglect the fact that the area is based on wildly popular Okama Bars in Japan.
It is where prisoners who are insanely powerful
Heh.
Next to or across from?
20 years ago, Kinjishi the "Flying Pirate" made the only successful breakout of Impel Down, due to a mistake of the Marines.
Really? First I've heard that it was a mistake of the Marines that led to it. What mistake would that be?
Impel Down seems to be heavily based on how Hell is described in Dante Alighieri's Divine Comedy. Both are level-based, "inescapable" prisons with unique forms of punishment per level, and the lower one traverses, the worse the punishments become. Consequently, Luffy's journey to the fifth level of Impel Down can be likened to Dante's descent.
A few of the levels of Impel Down also seem to resemble Buddhist concepts of hell such as the Crimson Hell which seems based on the "Hell of the Sword Tree and Knife Hill" which similarly tortures its victims by forcing them to run upon or impaling them upon trees and hills covered with knives and swords. Also the Four Demon Guards seem to resemble the demon guards Horse Face and Ox Head.
This is my favorite.
Some kid in high school who was forced to read TDC noticed that they're in circles and deal a specific punishment.
"HOLY SHIT! IMA-GENIUS! IT'S TOTALLY BASED ON DANTE'S VERSION OF HELL!!! Oh and uh…yeah it might have...a little something to do with Buddhist hell or something like I dunno, haven't really read about it n' junk... Ox-head....mumble..."
And that's one page.
I garuantee you that if I were to alter any of those, the person that wrote it would get all bent out of shape and change it back, sparking an outrageous outbreak of BAW Syndrome.
Here's a homework assignment. Try changing 'Oz' to his real name and see what reaction you get. Posters have told me tales of their experiences with that one. Good luck.

The Japanese is incorrect.

Your footprint is going to last for a loooong time on my butt.
-
Khamolen,
Forgive me. I'm not sure what you're trying to point out.
-
Just more of the wiki's bad Japanese.
-
Gotcha. But, I literally meant the Japanese text was incorrect:
針グ草
針々草 is correct.
-
Interesting. Where'd they hear that?
At a guess, this was the result of either a bad translation or a mental blending of two portions the discussion Sengoku had with Garp. Sengoku first notes that nobody has escaped since the Golden Lion incident twenty years ago, talks a bit about Impel Down's sterling reputation since then, and then berates Garp over the fact that the first person to ever break in was Garp's own grandson.
It's not hard to imagine that the two different statements could be remembered as one and the same.
Where was it confirmed that they are always there? I'm half asking this out of curiosity. It seems like something that could be possible however I don't recall it.
I don't know that we've gotten confirmation on that at any point; Buggy's reaction to Luffy telling him that there were a dozen Navy ships out (actually an undercount, the underwater images suggest eighteen) there surprised Buggy so it doesn't seem likely that there were that many ships when the Clown Prince of Pirates was tossed into the clink.
On the other hand, there's almost certainly some Navy ships there to transfer prisoners from Enies Lobby and personnel from Marineford/Enies Lobby though I doubt it's quite that many battleships if it's even battleships at all. A cruiser like Nezumi's ship or a destroyer like Smoker's seems more suited to such a role.
Frankly, I can ignore fanon problems or mistaken readings that might be based on translation error, but things like this really annoy me as they're so very, very easy to check.
-
It's not hard to imagine that the two different statements could be remembered as one and the same.
Yeah, I thought that was the case. That question was missing sarcasm tags, my bad. Either way whomever wrote it is a nimitz for failing to check their facts.

Thought not, thanks for confirming.
As usual Wiki's are a source of pain and suffering.

It's probably mentioned in the manga and I didn't notice but how could Lucci and Foxy hurt Luffy with punch attacks? They made such a big deal of Sentoumaru being able to punch Luffy and hurt him… but wasn't Lucci doing the same thing?
What am I overlooking here?
-
Foxy was using spiked gloves. And no, Lucci used his claws, but never knuckles against Luffy.
-
I dunno, seems like Lucci was using his fists a lot. Check this out: http://www.onemanga.com/One_Piece/426/17/
