Series is apparently announced to start up again. So, the thread can reopen.
For the next ten weeks.

Fudge yea! Also, is that volume 28?! This is great news.
-
Can't wait! So about when will the next chapter come out? in 2-3 months?

In August, as Aohige said.
-
Good to hear that from time to time Togashi is still working on this project.
-
Great news indeed. The thread is back open and hunterxhunter comes back in August. How long has this hiatus been? A year? longer?
-
Let's hope he'll FINALLY be able to finish the arc in this batch.
-
I started to be able to sympathize/empathize with Togashi ever since I began drawing comics.
-
Pictures of Volume 28 are out now, too.
It's got that hyper-realistic thing Togashi sometimes does on it. That style came up a lot in Level E. I think it's really cool.
And it's gonna be the last hurrah for Pitou and Yupi in the next volume. This picture from an ad in Jump confirms the whole resumption in August thing, with v29 coming out then, too.

Oh ,won't it be like a year in August since the last time chapters were actualy published ?
-
Great news, lets see if this arc ends in this batch of chapters.
I have to go read this arc again because I don't remember some things of this arc now, I always have to do this because of the hiatus.

The most burning issue so far:
Will Togashi chicken out with Gon's transformation ?
-
Gonna jump on the "great news" bandwagon. Hopefully the arc will be finished this time before Togashi goes on a hiatus again.
-
Please let him finish the series this time.
-
Please let him finish the series this time.
It'd be pretty piss poor if he finished the SERIES this go around, theres like a zillion hanging threads still.
Finishing this arc finally is all we can hope for.
Unless you mean in that, he stops taking year long hiatuses.
-

Maybe he will write 100 chapters in a row with 4 arcs. XD
-
Bloody awesome, So we should have some Hxh to read till December. That makes me very happy in my pants
-
Having heard of Hunter x Hunter but not knowing much about it, are the volumes worth buying, if so why should I buy them?
-
Damn, finally Togashi is back, it's time for him to finish this arc and start a good new one.
-
I'm hyped as all hell. This is great news.
Is too much wishfull thinking that Togashi maybe is now all pumped up to continue this series and won't be doing the 10 chapters in a row - 1 year of holidays?
I'm saying untill the end of the series, but, I don't know, 1 or 2 years releasing chapters weekly (with the occasional break, ofc.)
Am I being too optimistic?
-
About fucking time.

The question is : Are you worthy enough to buy the volumes.
-

I'd like to think so, but if not I shall train my hardest until such a day where I am. I have heard that it's one of the best shonen series out there though.
-
aaaaaaaaaaaa
YEAH
So both vol. 28 and 29 are coming out too?
how dandy!!
Actually have yet to buy volume 27 in English so I guess I'll order it right now -

FTFY
No seriously, what's wrong with Togashi?
! "You move one muscle, and off goes your head."
! "your fiance is beautiful"
! "If you touch her-"
! "I told you not to move…." :cwy:
! show scene of her trying on her wedding dress -
Woooooooot! Glad I subscribed to this thread.
EDIT: Someone do me a favour and PM ME RIGHT AWAY the moment the first chap comes out >=O please.
-
whatFUCK YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

New one ?
Seriously ?
-
My name is Kareem Said and I support this post.

Assuming there'll be 20 chapters, I think Togashi would be really pushing it should he decide not to end the arc this time around.
After this, I feel a nice 10 chapter cooldown arc is pretty much necessary, and then I guess it's up to Togashi as to where the series should go from here. If he's going to keep going with this hiatus method, it would be awful condescending to his devoted fans to start another arc.

The very "method" is awful beyond words as it is.
-
This is go…Actually this is only good news if he manages to finish the arc before he goes on hiatus again. If that happens, then its really something to look forward too.
-
I think even with it's flaws, this Chimera ant arc is good. It abuses the narration like crazy, and over-developed some villains only to dispose of them in underwhelming ways, but there are a myriad of interesting elements in there, like some of the truest, darkest "desperation" situations a main character has probably been. And I wanna see if everything leads to the "most evil man in the world".
But, seriously, are there gonna be STRONGER guys than Meruem after this arc??? He is so fucking terrifyingly strong compared to the rest of the cast. . .

Given his chapter count per year, he's basically doing a monthly comic at this point. He just happens to be printed in a weekly magazine. If he were in the monthly mag next to Claymore, there'd probably be no hiatuses.
I don't think he actually takes 10 months off and then suddenly works hard for 2, I think he just draws only a page a day (4 or 5 a week) and takes his weekends. The art quality isn't Berserk level to justify the time spent, but without assistants and just working at a normal non-insane person's pace?

If YuyuHakusho was any indication, Togashi follows up brute strength with strategy and technique, rather than the "ever strong opponents" shtick. Plus there's still the Spiders to deal with.
Not to mention, they really haven't beaten the King and aren't likely to. This is going to be a psychological win in the end, probably.

Answer: get asistants.
Your fans care to see the end of your story before they hit middle age, they don't care that every single line is "authentic".
Plus we'd get like 12 chaps if it were a monthly series, wouldn't we ?
-
@No:

Clearly HE cares that its all his own product. And clearly, for whatever reason, his work schedule is lighter than others. Laziness or illness, we'll never know for sure. Assistants aren't the answer. Assistants mostly only do backgrounds anyway.

Series is 13 years old. Bit late for that. Anyone who was a teen when it started is in their late 20's now.

And last year he did 20.
-
Well, Sensui was much stronger than Toguro, and 6-7 chapters after Sensui's demise, his power level was ridiculed by fodder bodyguard demons.
But I really dig your idea of a psychological battle to end the arc.
-
@RobbyBevard:

Which was an exception .
-
The arc is gonna end with the King's victory and him taking over the world. Which will actually make the world a better place.

Yusuke was actually way stronger than Sensui. Sensui just had way more practice, experience and training, and that gave him an edge. (Not to mention that entire set of Genkai tests that were all based around special abilities rather than brute strength.)
Then in the next arc Yuuske got a demon mode transformation on top of everything else.

Still balances out to a monthly overall.
