Need suggestions for Japan trip

So as some of you guys know already, I will be going to Japan early next month (MUAHAHAHAHAAAAA). Now, I'm gonna be there for about 10 days, with most of the trip planned out already. However, there will be a weekend (sat and sun) where I will have nothing to do.

So here it is: I would like some suggestions for the two days. I will be in Tokyo, supposedly Shibuya (well it says "Shibuya-ku" on my friend's address, so I just assume). So, anyone knows the area quite well? :3 Actually, it doesn't even have to be in Tokyo. Any interesting towns or places near-by will be awesome too.

You can plan out the whole two days for me (cuz I'm a lazy bugger) or just point out bits and pieces and I'll work it out from there. Thanks very much in advance!

Oh BTW, I'm not sure if my cousin's gonna be thrilled about going to the OP place thingy, but I'll try my hardest XD (That is, if I could get the definite address of the place, and maybe directions and such.)

The only advice I have ever received regarding trips to Japan is that if you think you're going to need them, bring your own tampons.

As for visiting places, I have no damn idea.

It looks like for about $300 per week, you can get a rail-pass which will apparently cover a large range of services. Might be worth comparing the prices if you're going to do a lot of internal travel, especially if you can use the rail services as an alternative to a rental car or taxi hire.

However, the page says it's for people on specific visas only, so it might not be suitable for you.

You can use it if you have a tourist visa.

I've got a work visa, so I can't take advantage of it :(

Back on topic, though, I'd recommend going to a ryokan (Japanese-style inn) in the country. Preferably one with an onsen (thermal baths), particularly rotenburo (the open-air variety). If you're comfortable with being naked around other people, of course.

YAY Thanks! I'm looking into that, and yeah it does seem cheaper than other alternatives.

My problem is, I have no fucking clue what I wanna do, because there are so many things there that I can do. Yargh. (But OMFG Godzilla! :w00t: )
