I'm a tad bit in agreement but it would annoy me if it was right, My friend says that One Piece is actually One piece of gold, and the real trerasure is friendsship, which is written somewhere nearby…...it almost seems plausable............just barely....

i thought GDR said only said "you want my treasure? I left it all out there" before he was executed without any mention about "one piece"?
So it could just be a bigass pile of gold and jewelry as well as anything else.
(GDR had everything: power, fame and wealth. I mean even Buggy is looking for One Piece isnt he? and he considers nothing apart from commercial valuables to be treasure, and he knew GDR so there is a big chance that there is atleast some gold stached somewhere.)

One Piece is the entire Grand Line. I thought about it when re-watching Clover's speech in Robin's flashback…
The Ancient Kingdom? The whole Grand Line. All the islands used to be one giant continent in the ocean until it was destroyed. It used to be one big continent that was shattered.
One Piece is just Roger's way of saying he was the best on the Grand Line.
I called it wrong, so long ago. I guess this needs to be changed.

I think One Piece is what's needed to Power-Up the Ultimate Weapons, with such power, it wouldn't be surprising that they would need an incredible source of power, and that would also explain why Roger left messages for the ones who knew of the ancient civilization.

Your poop isn't produced from the body, it's a byproduct of the food you ingest. Therefore, it wouldn't be gold.

well if you read the original post about how the cursed fruit worked you would realize it doesnt fall into any of the 3 know categories paramecia, zoan or logia. Its evil and cursed i tell you.

Even though its odd, chances are it might be something that would allow DF user to swim in the water, because he spends most of his time on a ship and never in the water. And it would be a crude sense of humor if its buried deep within the Ocean or something near that so the final treasure can't be reach unless you and your crew makes it out in one piece without anyone dying!!!

The irony…Being rich and still die of starvation...Well technically, if Robin could walk and talk normally while in the seastone cuffs, then a DF user could eat normally while holding, or wearing, a piece of seastone.
And btw, I like your theory FFA, has some logic to it, seeing as the islands are all magnetically connected, they could have been one landmass sharing a magnetic core. However, whether or not that is a fact remains to be seen…

I think One Piece consists of two pieces: one thing will be the poneglyph/note saying "the real treasure is the adventure you had getting here, just kidding, the gold is around the corner"/Gol D. Roger's coat/sth completely ridiculous and the other will be the actual gold. But not just some measly heap of treasure. I'm talking about sth the size of a mountain. Just imagine Nami's reaction

… Mokke makeing "a message on a piece of indistructeble stone" out of gold kinda defeats the point. they wanted to preserve the information on the rocks not for pirates and illiterate scavangers to melt the gold down destroying it forever.

Okey, this is a serious theory for what the One Piece is.
I belive that One Piece is ethernal post/logs to all island in the grandline.
Since if you want to be the Pirate King, you want to be able to go everywhere.
Since i belive only the world goverment has ethernal log/post to all the places for emergency backup and such, but for a pirate that would be the best tresure there is.
feel free to flame.( I didnt want to put the poneglyph thing in here cuase it kinda a major thing to do in a the "one piece is what" threads)
