OK, I'm not from America, but on Rotten Tomatoes there's an information, that Steamboy director's cut edition wil be released on July 26.

I've never seen it before, but I'm really looking forward to the DVD. The characters look alot like the ones from Akira, but that's because it's done by the same person.

I saw the DVD at Best Buy today. It was the last copy; and the special edition. But I was a bit short.

I thought it was pretty good.. but several parts reminded me heavily of Nadia, specifically the first handful of episodes.

I finally have the collector's edition DVD! It's a pretty good story, but it kind of drags on towards the end. The dub was handled good, too. The only voice I really had problems with was Ray's (Sp?). Was it really necessary to give him a heavy Scottish aceent? I could hardly understand what he was saying at some points.

I saw it (somehow configuring it as subbed instead of dubbed) and found the story a bit underwhelming. The characters seemed like we needed a bit more exposition about their desires.

I personally loved it. It was a good turn from AKIRA.
(…yes, I'm an Otomo fanboy...I even travelled to Chicago to see it during it's theatircal run. :wacko: )
