One Piece Limited Edition

About 2 weeks ago when I visited Orlando, Florida, I went to the Virgin Megastore in Downtown Disney and saw Vol. 1 of One Piece (in English). I already had it, but there was something peculiar about this volume. It was shiny, like those Pokemon cards you rarely got when you bought a pack of cards; and on the yellow/golden margin at the bottom it says "Limited Edition 2259 of 5000".

I was wondering if what I bought was real, or if I got ripped off or something, because something tells me its not something Viz would do. Expecailly to one of their lowest selling manga. Can anyone fill me in?

Yes, it's real, they also made LE of other mangas such as Naruto and Shaman King as I remember.

I only managed to find the Shaman King where I live though, you can find many of the other LE mangas in Amazon if you just search for the name of the manga and type limited edition after it.

What's so special about them? They just got a holographic cover?

Yeah And the limited edition numbering which I (all of them are out of 5,000 I assume since my Shaman King is also out of 5,000)

I remember those! I preordered one, forgot which, and they ended up running out. I think I saw a YYH and maybe YGO in stores….

You're really lucky to have one just show up- there were only 5,000 of each series in Jump at that time I think, and they were printed like four years ago. I'd kill for one of the OP ones now.
