Knight of the Blazing Sun is up on the official site. They also added a general overview of both Elf factions.
Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning.

You're forgetting about the Chaos marauders as well. They're looking pretty awesome.
Oh, I guess they didn't put up the actual link on the site yet.

Thanks for the link; it wasn't up on the actual site.
Greenskins still look better.
-
Yeah, if I get this I'm going to be a Black Orc.
-
How much is this game going to cost per month? The same as WoW or what?
'Cause it looks freaking great, like WoW minus all of the things that are a pain. I'm looking at you hyper repetitive grinding.
-
Think they said it'll cost about $12 per month, which is about the same as WoW's $15 a month.
However, unlike WoW, you're not paying money to grind bears.
-
Some interesting info, for those interested:
http://war.curse.com/videos/details/523/
Guilds will grow and gain experience as the members grow and gain experience. As your guild grows, it'll unlock and reward you with things like potions, emblems, banners, etc. Guilds look different based upon how they're developed, but they were kind of vague on that subject.
They had a neat little bar graph, which shows about how long it'll take to "achieve" certain aspects of the game.
Basically, it'll take an average gamer about 5 months to get to Level 40, but that's probably based upon a game playing 1-3 hours a day. Getting the end-tier armor and leveling your guild can take a long time, and it's mainly what you'll be doing after hitting 40. However, the longest, and most important aspect, is RvR, which is basically the building block of the entire game. There really isn't an end to RvR, as you'll constantly be struggling for superiority, just like a real war. RvR is what allows you to get the end-game shit, so it's practically infinite, since the RvR tiers constantly fluctuate between factions. It's been implied several times that PvP is the driving force in Warhammer, and this is no exception.
Some other random questions were asked, like whether or not guilds can form alliances, if there is real-time day/night environment, whether you can hide parts of your armor [like helms and the like], etc.
-
damn after looking through the races again I fucking can't decide on even a faction
-
Yeah, most of the classes look really interesting.
Still sticking with a Black Orc, personally. Ain't found anything that looks more savage, that's for sure.
-
I'm looking right now at the Empire's Bright Mage (anyone who lights their outfit on fire and goes to fight is awesome in my book), the Dwarf Engineer and the Goblin Shaman
-
I'm going to be a Black Orc.
I'm also interested in Witch Hunter, Dwarf Hammerer, Warrior Priest, Goblin Shaman, and maybe Choppa, Engineer, and Squig Herder.
I'll most likely create alts for the first 3 of those at least.
I wonder what the other little psuedo factions, (Oathbearers, Bloody Sun Boyz, Raven Host) are for?
-
you know what this may lead into
a Warhammer 40K well done game (fangasms), and the 1st really really good Sci-fi not ship based MMO
-
The NPC factions are mostly just there to help flesh out the world. That, and when asked if there will be anymore playable races, Mythic replied with: "Just remember that there will be expansions in the future." So, with any luck, we'll get to eventually play with Skaven and shit.
-
Wow, the Skaven look awesome.
Are players placed in a faction when they start out, or is it an NPC thing?
-
Well, if you're a Greenskin, your faction is with the Destruction. If you're a human, you're with Order.
Not really sure what you're askin', though. Things like Skaven and the like are neutral factions that exist separately.
-
I meant the things like Bloody Sun Boyz.
-
Oh, oh. If memory serves, the factions are set in stone. All Greenskins in the MMO are part of the Bloody Sun Boyz, all the Dwarves are the same faction, etc. It mostly just seems to provide some background and story to why your Orc tribe is where they are.
Could be totally wrong about that, though.
-
The more I read about this the more I'm loving it. I'm defiantly picking this up when it comes out. As much as I like the Greenskins the Chaos classes are looking way awesome.

Tome of Knowledge
http://www.curse.com/videos/details/539/This feature sounds fantastic and will jack up the replay value of WAR even more so. Again, can't wait.
-
I think I'm going to make my own guild on WAR (assuming I don't have to jump through a shitload of hoops and hurdles to do it).
The door will be (mostly) open if you want to join in. The tentative name is "Hell Missionaries."
-
@Cap'n:
The tentative name is "Hell Missionaries."
The Neptuneman Big the Budo tag team name. Nice.
Yeah sure if you get it off the ground and accept Chaos (Chosen and Marauder are very appealing to me) I'm in.
-
Yeah, I'm going to be a Greenskin so allied races (hopefully) won't be a problem.
-
I'm either going with a Dwarf Tank, that Fire Mage type class that explodes when it dies, or the witch hunter which looks uber. I have no interest in the Elves.
-
Running a guild can be a big hassle. Once they start getting large, it's almost a requirement to get a website up and running, so that news and shit can be shared easily.
Definitely wouldn't mind joining your guild, Carter, s'long as you don't mind having roleplayers.
-
Sure as long as you don't subject everyone to that nonsense.
Honestly, I dunno if I'd intend my for guild to be very large. I have some reservations about teaming up with people I don't really know in MMOs, I tend to have my guilds/groups/etc. consist of my friends.

Some in depth explanation on Scenarios and a new feature Cross-Server Scenarios.
-
damn from that preview of the world before they got into it, its really shaping up
wow thats awesome, the Black Orcs can throw the goblins out of melee
-
What kind of guild Gohn joins depends on how the game is set up. If you don't need a guild to enjoy the best aspects of the game, probably won't even bother joining/creating one. It's been implied that there aren't any guild-specific quests, and it doesn't seem like you need guilds get the best equipment in the game, since that's done through RvR.
-
I'm most likely making a guild just for the hell of it.
-
Did that for Guild Wars, just to get a cape. It didn't have any other members in it, which was funny.

Wow, those skills sound pretty awesome. Can't wait to throw my friends out of frays.
And boy does Warrior Priest sound fun.
-
Those Black Orc Skills have fuckin' great names, hahahaha.
"RIGHT IN 'DA JIBBLIES!"
-
they seem to be doing away with mana completely or at least with other forms of keeping stats
will be interesting having all the classes run off the same system

The Chaos Wastes
http://www.warhammeronline.com/english/gameInfo/zoneOverviews/ChaosWastes/ChaosWastesOverview.phpMore info on the elves will be up in the next couple days from the Leipzig Gaming Convention in Germany. Stay tuned.
-
They basically look like really, really pointy versions of the Chosen.
-
Elves suck anyway.
After thinking about it more, I'm definitely the most excited about the Empire after the orcs. I mean, Warrior Priests and Witch Hunters. Those two fall into archetypes I tend to love.
-
The Empire is okay. Always been more of a fan of Dwarfs, personally.
Throwing grenades with the Dwarf Engineers seems like a fuckin' hoot.
-
The dwarves seem awesome, but I fell in love with the Warrior Priest. I'm always a fan of badass/tough/crazy monks, priests, and other religious types. And Witch Hunters because I tend to love the rugged monster hunter types.
But I definitely want to try Hammerers and Engineers. As well. There's so much in this damn game I want to do.
-
Not really interested in anything aside from the Black Orc. Will probably try out most, if not all, of the classes, but probably won't stick to any of 'em, unless they're extremely fun.
-
Well regardless of your feelings, here's the latest info.

All of those classes look incredibly dumb, especially the Sword Master. WOOOOOO ELVES WITH SWORDS JUST WHAT WE NEED
Moreover, Witch Elves look like they're going to be the "I DON'T NEED YOUR HELP/I DON'T NEED TO HELP YOU" class, since they seem to be pretty 'independent.' And we all know how well those players function in group battle.
-
Wow, all of those look pretty lame designwise. Especially Swordmasters ("I DUNNO IF I SHOULD WEAR FANTASY ARMOR OR ANCIENT CHINESE GARB") and Witch Elves ("QUAKE IN FEAR OF MY LIFELESS FACE"). Fuck elves.
The Black Guard looks Ok I guess, but yeah it's like a wimpier version of the Chosen.
Fuck elves
-
Yeah elves never done it for me Dwarfs and greenskins are where it's at. Heck in WAR even the humans seem rather interesting. Though I do like the idea of healing via draining engery from foes.
-
Life-leeching has been around forever. Necromancers usually have it, but apparently, they thought Dark Elves should get it? 'Unno.
-
Yeah, but he seems to use it to heal not just him but the group. That could be a bit of a twist.
And I thought that was a high elf.
-
High Elf, whatever. All Elves are equally crappy.
Look like the Dark Elves might not be getting the Corsair after all.
-
goddamn I see alot of people playing elves in that games future groan
-
@Cyringohn:
High Elf, whatever. All Elves are equally crappy.

Elves use Magic. Magic>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Melee IMO. So Elves>>>>>>>>>>>>>all other races IMO
