Well, One Piece Dragon Dream is out already, and I have the ROM. If anyone of you have reached far into the game, then can you help me with this part? Have anyone reached this place yet? I'm in a place that where you can have two characters, but both people are seperated and you have to help each other progress by destroying pillars and creating bridges. I made it all the way to the end and there's nothing... How do I beat this level? Is it the ROM's problem or what? Please help.

Downloaded it just a little while ago from GBAtemp on mIRC, haven't played it yet. I'll post my impressions once I understand how to play it first.

Bah, I hate those GBA roms… I can't read Japanese and there aren't any translation projects for these, so it's like shooting in the dark, skipping past all important dialogue, and wondering what's going on.
Dammit, release these games (especially the Grand Battle ones) in the U.S.!

What somebody could do is release a translation patch, though not many people do that for GBA roms.
Anybody here willing to write a translation FAQ? Maybe Omae no kaasan?

Well it took me a while to figure it out, but now that I get it, it's pretty good (despite not knowing most of what's going on). As I type, I've just completed some sort of pirate torch quiz that I assume was true/false. It's a side-quest just before going to talk to Laboon (a bunch of exclamation points show up after talking to the old man, the one to the far left of the map is a huge battle with marines). Here's the solution for the torch quiz, for those who are stuck:

Um… Another problem... I'm going to battle Arlong now. But after I chose a character and begin the battle, I am instantly taken to the title screen! What's the problem here?! Another ROM trouble?!

Damn, you're already at Arlong? I played all night and a little this morning and got to the fight with Miss Doublefinger! She's hard…how are you supposed to beat her?

I beat her with one try… Use Nami, and attack with distance attacks (Nami's Pinwheels work very well) as Doublefinger is moving around, not preparing an attack...
And I also recommend Nami and her Pinwheels for the following fight... The following fight is VERY tough. Oddly enough, Nami does much better against him than the person who fights him in the anime does... XD

I don't have Nami's Pinwheel attack…what do I need to get it? I only skipped one side-quest (The gravestone one) because I didn't understand the Japanese.

Never mind, I got pass the problem. Make sure you save before fighting Hacchi and Arlong. When you try to battle Arlong the first time, the game will restart. Now load your save file and try to fight him again. You'll be able to continue without problem.

i started to play, i choosed the first mode in main menu and then some talking to bon clay and foxy and then i beat foxy with luffy and bon clay, now theier are stairs what i have to do now in the game?
there is nothing i can do expect talking again an d again to tondjit in the middle one of the three islands.

Hit Select, there should be a red exclamation point next to the top selection. Whenever you see that mark, it means that you can upgrade a character by solving little puzzles by placing the items you find in the correct silhouettes. Sometimes through the game you will have to do this to progress, though since it is upgrading your characters…I don't see why you wouldn't want to do it.
On a side note, when you unlock new attacks, you can switch an attack on one of the characters by pressing Start, then right. Select a character and change however you like. The red lines indicate combo connections between moves (I found a good one for Sanji). You can also switch attacks just before a fight by pressing Select on a highlighted character.
There you go...now...can someone tell me how to get Nami's Pinwheel?

I honestly can't remember… I was just sorta screwing around with the button commands... It's an A button command, so check and see if you have it... If you don't, I'm sory, Thanatos, but I can't help you...

wow this game confuse me, it starts at longisland and goes then to whiskey peak?can i only punch und kick?how can i do other attacks and i cant beat vivi, how can i beat vivi?

I think Nami's pinwheel attack is learned automatically or by completed %, because it doesn't seem to be in her puzzle card list.
The move appears as the last option in the Nami's menu for the A button, so if it is not that attack then you don't have it yet.BTW, I think that there is a clue in the game about who will be the next member of the crew, but it could be a false lead.

Please i cant beat Vivi, how can i beat her?And can i make other attacks than just normal punch and kick?

Vivi is actually pretty easy compared to the other bosses. Just get on the side of her whenever she does her peacock slasher move and beat her to a pulp. When she starts charging, move out of the way and attack her when she puts her hair down. I think I used Zoro's A+B combo (green fire, then dash forward) for that battle, but I don't remember.
A note for those who haven't noticed it: Luffy cannot be shot, just like in the manga and anime.
Cannonballs still hurt him, though.OH….I found Nami's attack! I had it the whole time. I mistook the pinwheels for birds...lol

[snapback]40767[/snapback]**Yes. Alot of the characters are in it. Ao Kiji, Foxy's crew, Jango, Mr. 2, Mr. 1, Miss Double Finger, Kuro, Butchie, Sham, Buggy, Alvida, Mohji, Cabaji, Richie.
Basically you are sort of reliving the story arcs to a degree. (Best Guess I have since I don't know the exact plot)

Okay, I have completed the game. After beating the game and saving, you load your file again and you'll enter a Boss Mode. Defeat all the bosses there and you will see the second ending. By the way, have anyone fought Moji, Mihawk, Aokiji, and Franky yet? The second ending shows that they are in the game, but I have never met them.

[snapback]40894[/snapback]I found Ao Kiji early in the game. Talk to Tonjit at some point in the first map and he will eventually appear. Trouble is that nothing except dialouge happens, but he does appear in the list of people you have found.
Moji? You mean Mohji, right? He shows up at the fort where Buggy first appears after you defeat Cabaji (and Buggy too, I believe.)

If I remember correctly I met Mihawk late in the game when going from a location to another (don't remember the exact places, sorry) but it was only a short conversation, not a fight.
I have not met Franky (but being in the game is a huge step in becoming the next member of the crew). I am also missing the two persons to the right of Cricket (Masira and Shoujou?) and this means that I am lacking two moves, one for Luffy and one for Chopper. Also, I don't have one of the ships (the one which is two spaces to the right of the poneglyph).
My total is 98%, btw. -

As for the graves…I have no clue how to solve that one. All I know is that after defeating all the pirates and walk past the second poneglyph, you can move the graves to reveal bombs. Not sure of what you're really supposed to do, because I couldn't read the Japanese off the poneglyphs.

yes i read that before but the problem is i dont know how to do these attacks, if i try to hit a combination nothing happens, the character does just his normal punches/kicks.
i cant figure out what i have to do there in the middle is a grave and there are many trees which i can punch, i have also a time limit.does anyone know what i have to do?

[snapback]41070[/snapback]**Hmm…I still don't see what the problem is. As for that tree challenge...you have to hit all the tree's leaves off before the timer ends. If you've done all the side-quests up to there, get Sanji and switch all his attacks around so that a red line connects each button. That means you can do a combo with those attacks. It's really the AB attack you need, but I enjoy that combo immensely.
Anyway, equip him with the AB kick attack and choose him for the challenge. When the challenge starts, run up to a tree and hit AB. Sanji will do like 150 something damage to it and all the leaves fall off. Run around the area looking for trees with leaves, and do this until you get a CLEAR. It's not very hard. -
ok with sanji it was no problem but now i have the next problem there is a brdge and on the other side are two pirates they say something, and there are two flameholder which i can punch what them make burn but nothing else happen what i have to do?
wow this game is hard to play without any japanese knowings.they talk all the time shit that i cant understand. -

[snapback]41487[/snapback]He asks you a right or wrong question. You have to light up the torch according to the symbol on the floor. The circle symbol means Yes and X means No. After you lighted one, talk to that pirate again and he will say whether you got the question right or wrong.

ok i did it i advised the answers.if anyones want to know you must punch o,x,o,x,o,o, now i must fight hamburg but thats impossible if i come to him i only have 10-20% of my life energy left and he beat me.

You should probably look around for answers instead of just asking. Not everyone is going to hold your hand through this game. I got though it by trial and error, and by trying things to see if they could work. As for Hamburg...I can't believe you're actually asking for help on that. Just wait till you get to Mr. 1, he's a really hard boss._

hey i cant read japanese and i dont play games all the time, i just want to have some fast fun with it, its very frustraing if you have no idea of what you should do next, that takes the fun from the game.
tomorrow i try to beat hamburg again with or without help but with help i am sure i would have longer fun with it but whatever.

Hmm, guys, I need help. There's a level that's got many tombstones, and if you defeated all the bad guys in it you can move the tombstones. Only to reveal bombs underneath.
Gah, can't get past it. This is after fighting Igaram and before fighting Wapol.
