Where can I find the data book translated I've been looking but i can't find it now where. If they're cannon how come they are not posted some where. Thanks in advanced.
Data Books

They are scanned, yeah. Use the search button.
Translated? Nah, way too much to expect. The important data is on sites such as Greg's, why should someone bother to translate the whole thing? -
This post is deleted!

well the information is canon right? so why wouldn't the whole thing be translated unless its longer than what i expect it to be.
-
**IT'S CANNON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
But no they aren't translated yet, though I believe Null is in the process of doing so.**
-
Actually, it's canon. :(

I love how people think there a great secrets hidden within the tomes that somehow haven't managed to be translated or brought forward.
+90% of the data is regurgitated information from the series itself rephrased.
The first thing I/we try to bring to light are the original bits of information. After that it's mostly a boring collection of ink.
Blue is somewhat different since it has so much COOL extra stuff but even 99.9% of that has already been brought forward.
-
**Jplaya.
that is all.**
Correct spelling.
That is all. ;D
And yeah, I haven't read any of the data books, but guidebooks for ANY manga/anime series usually have very very little (sometimes even none) to offer you in the way of new information. It's the hardcore fans that hold on to that little teeny tiny bit of hope that there just HAS to be something new in it because it's (insert series here) and it's AWESOME, that's why!! etc. >>;
I'd like to read it, too, but I know it's not full of untold amazing awesome super-secret things that nobody else knows. :P

I meant in the threads specifically for the data books ^_^;

Another question (which is related in some way), can we expect VIZ to ever publish the Data Books? (Not asking about the 2-3nd Color Walks 'cause this is more likely to get published).
-
Ooo Greg is online.:wub:
Greg, what is the meaning of life?
But lol seriously, I think it's pretty farfetched that they'd do it, but hey I'm not one to give estimates.
-
Viz was asked if they were ever going to translate things like data books and said they were looking into it. If they ever do then don't expect them anytime soon.

I know VIZ already translated Death Note v13 (Death Note databook), so eventually they will, probably.
-
One Piece was the first serialized series in the US Jump to get its art book published, so I wouldn't be surprised if the data books are all eventually released. Don't expect them until the official release reaches the point that they were published in Japan though (Red and Blue around Alabasta/Jaya, Yellow during the beginning stages of Thriller Bark).

I know bringing this thread up from the dead isn't that great, but if anyone needs information on the blue book, I got it in French on my trip there the last two weeks. I don't have the red since I immagined it coming out soon enough here(and I wanted to buy the manga since their up to volume 38) I only got blue, but I'm fluent in French and can translate anything from it for anyone. Making a full translation would be time consuming, though, so I'll translate what anyone asks for. There's a lot of interesting stuff in there. People may already know the important stuff, as pointed out before, but I can translate whatever remains for other people.

That would be 42.
