As usual the full chapter is different from the spoilers. The Brooke flashback looks awesome. Also, the monster trio segment has unexpected comedy.
I wonder how the fact they are shadowless will play into the rest of the arc.

That was a pretty huge chunk of Brooke's skull that flew off during that flashback. I guess that means his wounds heal like a normal person.

So, I'm guessing the next big topic of discussion here is on how Brook can heal from a wound if he's only bones. He obviously escaped by the skin of his teeth ( Even though he has no skin! YoHoHoHo! Skull Joke!) in that flashback, but it didn't look like he was experiencing pain. Is he immune to pain because of his condition? And how did the side of his face heal after that?
Also, any translation as to why Oz went berzerk? Moria doesn't seem to mind much.

Oh, it's fairly apparent what happened. The last time that brooke was on thriller bark, he was defeated by ryuma after causing lots of havoc. He still has a scar over his left eye from where he was glued back together. Maybe the sun fried companion was the one who put the pieces back in place.
In any case, after five years of training on the ship, Brooke is now capable of defending himself against Ryuma's strike. A good fight should be upcoming.

I agree with aldrich that the chapter is missing some pizazz. Hopefully the translated dialog will make up for that with story development.
Also, how'd the three powerhouse regain consciousness so quickly? I was under the impression that shadow stealing unequivocally causes three days of downtime.

An entertaining chapter I'll say. I love how all the zombies are just bringing in hordes of meat for Oz and he just Gomu Gomu no Pistols the wall! Plus, that last page with Zoro and Sanji and Luffy with the funny faces was priceless. I love how Oda gave Sanji a pigtail on his head to cover the bumps.
This made my morning…er early afternoon ^_^. It looks to be a decent chapter for the time being, and the translation will probably make it better.
Brooke's flashback was pretty cool. How he took a stab from Ryuuma to the eye socket like that and still found his way back to his ship is amazing. Unless his eye sockets aren't what his sight depends on o_O. Which wouldn't make any sense at all.

Can't believe the spoilers were real. This is disappointing.
Thank you much for the chapters. Everyone says the last page is great. I sorta disagree. As humorous as it is i think ill join the bandwagon that wanted Nami, Chopper, Usopp, Franky and Robin to shine. The "Monster" trio is great and all (Sanji mind you is my favorite strawhat) but I like to see all characters get exposure.
Now having said that I strongly believe that one of the straw hats for sure will get a HUGE fight: Chopper. Him vs Hogback is really pretty much a given. This will give him a chance to really grow (I pray).
As far as Usopp goes, personally I think he had alot of development in Water 7 /Enies Lobby so I think he is pretty much set for a bit. (Yes INC flames I know).
As for Nami, I would say probably this arc will be her last for a while damsel in distress role. I think the next arc of Fishman Isle will really bring her to the front dealing with her past demons.
As I've always said, consider how Oda will write. He has a large ensemble cast now. Like any tv show with an ensemble each character will need time to shine and a good writer like Oda knows this and will do this. I believe that from now on arcs will focus on 2-3 characters or more similar to Water 7. This will allow big stories to happen that overall affect a character in a big way. Yes I know it seems like a long time for an arc to end but wishing every week for your favorite character to do an OMGWTFBBQ move just isn't worth it. If an arc is around a character then they have a chance to do something. Otherwise just wait, Oda will get around to you.

This is somewhat disappointing. I was hoping that the spoilers would be fake, because if they were, it meant that the weaker members and the newer members of the Straw Hat crew would actually get to fight. Now, with only about five major enemies in this arc (six if you count Oz), it doesn't seem like that's going to happen.
For all the disappointed people (And include me in them), we can somehow hope that they aren't really gonna wake up, and it's just some reaction to what Ussop said.

My understanding was that enel was merely pissed at them for damaging fairy vearth with their mining equipment (the equipment that is being incinerated this week)
Has anyone found a japanese script for the translators to use? Or is anyone working on a secondary translation from the chinese jojohot release? I'm really quite anxious to know what 900 is talking about. Any summaries from the peanut gallery?
Also, much thanks bedrock (and ultimately dinty) for paying it forward. I guess we're just going to have to get accustomed to later chapter releases.

Extra point for Brooke vs Ryuma flashback and their rematch beginning, a translation will make it better.
Good to see our favorite 3 waking up again but alas, I think I'll join the club of people who wanted to see the other Strawhats regroup and lead a counter-offensive =/
Oh well, I still have my hopes that Usopp will deliver the killing blow to Oz with a Salt Star to the mouth from his Kabuto
