Can't say I enjoyed/disappointed with the ending since the second the author decided not to pursue the whole war between the races beyond the island, we were pretty much guaranteed the ending we got; Claire would obviously beat Priscilla by awakening, and then there would be nothing else. Hopefully he will be more ambitious with his next series.

I don't see where people ever got the impression Yagi would write about the mainland. That's never what the story was about.
Still bummed he killed off all the interesting antagonists and decided a mindless child-woman was a better villain.
I love how Miria says, "Let's go commit genocide," and everyone just cheers. My headcanon is they all turn into ABs in the future and kill each other while lamenting the fact that there's no way they could have prevented it from happening.

I like it, strikes me as a good prologue for an epic story
hope it actually becomes a series

Thanks Spyda for the post.
I'm going to read it now. This also makes me want to re-read all of Claymore again.
It's probably been talked about before, but why did Yagi end the series when it seemed like there was so much left to explore and discovery in, what seemed to be, an expanding world?
