Sanji used to be taller than Zoro back in the earlier episodes, but they evened out a bit more in the later ones. Not sure why, but all the height charts were like that.

Now that I have got all 88 Settei Pre + Zoom in + Cover, I have put them into 3 rar. files (30 files in each) and uploaded them to sendspace so they don't have to downloaded separtly! Enjoy!
Note that I have reordered them based on episode no.on the cards (So the first one is now the flag of the Going Merry (43 in Kitanokokoro order)

Almost forgot…I came across a few settei pre (Animation Logbook type styling) from Movies 4 and 5. I'll try to scan them sometime in the next few days and get them posted by early next week.

I wanna say they are from Gallery-la, but their looks and the fact they got a cannon makes me think otherwise..

It's not entirely unlikely that there would be Galley-La employees with cannons (keeping in mind stuff like the cannon that distracted Usopp), but I don't know. They look more piratey than most of the Shipwrights, and I haven't seen anyone that looked like that in those various shots where you see big groups of employees at the same time.

I'm stumped too.

They look like one of the monsters on Sesame Street, some purple / pink one with a nose like the ones they have whose name escapes meh….

Maybe the animator was bored and just decided to draw that…tho that's a long shot.

Couldn't be for filler either, as they release a settei-pre on the episode, not future or past.

I finally had a chance to upload a few settei pre from Movie 4 (Dead End Adventure). I apologize ahead of time for the quality, which I'm not happy about, but… shrug I found these in the manga adaptation of the movie.

I think I might have found it…episode 305, Lucci's flashback. I haven't been able to find a definitive screencap of them, but looking at some pics from http://www.devilsfruit.com those two would fit in perfectly with the rest of these pirates.

It is from a number of weeks back, but there have been no characters that look even remotely like these two - definite pirate-y looking pair - in the current arc.

edited to add: OK, I rewatched Ep 305, and here's what I found. The guy on the right appears to fit the bill for one of them.

I really wish Toei would post more settei pre that feature the main characters instead of the very obscure. I think they posted two different ones for the king in that episode. Don't know how necessary that was… :blink:

They have to make them for every character, otherwise the animation houses wouldn't know how to draw them. And considering how off-model things can get even with the drawings, let's not criticize too much, since this was we at least have recognizable characters consistently.

How many shots of the main characters do you think they need? There's plenty of them out there already and those things do cost money/time/effort to make.

Sorry, bevin. I didn't intend to sound harsh or ungrateful. We're extremely lucky that Toei posts any settei pre on the website. I guess what I would really like to have seen were some of the more major characters of the arc, and not necessarily more of the Strawhats, because we have seen so many of those. Settei pre of Sogeking, Fukuro, Kumadori, Jabra, Kaku's giraffe form, etc (too many others to count!) would have been really terrific to see.

I agree with you there, it seems more difficult to find the settei pre like that as opposed to the more minor characters of an arc. And I didn't intend to come off as sounding so harsh last night, I was tired and probably right on the verge of typing nonsense (I have to stop posting when I'm like that), so my intent wasn't very clear.

By sheer luck - coupled with a compulsion to look at eBay listings - I was able to track down the OP Vols 1 & 2 settei pre books! I've wanted to get images of the pages posted but haven't had a chance due to a combination of being swamped with other obligations and the weather not cooperating (I'll need to photograph the pages like I did Vol 3 so it'll take some time). I did have a chance to scan the covers last night so they are below.

Much of the two vols cover Strawhat settei pre that are really common (Luffy, Zoro, Nami, Usopp, and Sanji). There are, however, some real gems when it comes to other characters…Smoker, Tashigi, Kuro (face only), Shanks, Gol Roger, etc. It's odd, though, since they seemed to have skipped over the Arlong arc entirely.

The three files above? Actually those only include some settei pre from Little Garden to Arabasta. Even then it's just the ones that haven't been circulating around the internet.

If you want more recent (and well, just more in general! ) http://www.volonte-d.com/croquis/settei1.php probably has the largest collection around. And then the Toei site ( http://www.toei-anim.co.jp/tv/onep/settei.html ) uploads one weekly. Theirs do include Enies Lobby.

OK, I finished up Volume 1. The book contains 60 sheets and links to many of them are below. I have the entire book on my harddrive but only uploaded the ones that I haven't seen on the internet. I also uploaded two files in case anyone wants to download them in bulk.

Just a quick note – the settei pre of Luffy, Zoro, and Nami people have probably all come across before. I’ve only seen them in color but thought some folks might be interested in the regular B&W versions.

O___O AHHHH. Those colored Jyabura and Young Iceberg settei pres I posted earlier, I think those are from that place! And that link has everything I've been looking for… if anyone has link to that Kumadori settei pre, I'd love them forever and ever.

Out of curiosity, any CP_9_ (I have the CP5 one) Spandams, Corgi, Fukurou, or Kumadori setteis yet? Or even the 4 Namis from Nami vs. Califa c(though they probly skipped over those…)?
