Ok, Exdeath looks cool, but the whole character-type argument is moot since other genres share those types too!! (FF1 for example). And come on, sure you can win with Ganondorf but his moves compare and matchup very badly to other characters, like Meta-Knight. Just cos you can kick ass with him don't mean he can kick ass!! Maybe you're just Chuck Norris or sumthin.

i think i'll try my hand with golbez and cecil first. They look very interesting. Garland looks like a beast as well. Plus he has Raoh's voice actor… which I won't mind hearing over and over at all.
Cecil seems to be a favorite, judging by the attitude of people who've been playing the game. Everyone's been saying that he's a good "beginner" character and Paladin/Dark Knight switch-ups are easy to work with.
I'm probably gonna end up with mainig either the Onion Knight because I like whlole Job Change that he has going, or Bartz just because he looks interesting and fun to play as.
As for villians….I'm eager as hell to give The Emperor a shot.
I like playing characters that are both aerial and medium-long range, so that means I'll probably be playing Cecil (Paladin), Zidane, and Firion on the heroes side and Kefka and Ultimecia on the villain's side.
I really wanna play with all them armors, and Zidane and Tidus, and…..heck! Just everybody..minus some..even though I'll give em a try.
I wish Yuna was on here, maybe on the second one.

hmmm IDK if the saved data works like that also you're doing the story modes? I've tried one of them…it was silly to do and not be able to understand.....Umm online is ad-hoc not infastrucre i've tried to get online but it doesn't work i've never use ad-hoc before and i'm pretty sure you have to be close to the person you're going to play if not maybe we can try to play....
So far my favorite characters are Tidus and that Chick i forgot her name.

No suprise here: looks like Clash on the Big Bridge is the FF5 theme. Kinda weak compared to others, though (from how I heard it, anyway); it's virtually all pipe organ. I guess they tried to inject ExDeath's image into Gilgamesh's song. Hell, I'dve been fine with importing the FF10 version of the song.

There is no doubt that SE USA will go with their standard LA talent. I seriously doubt they will pay Mike McFarland to go all the way from Texas for this game while they have their own talent next door.
Personally, it could all boil down to Liam O Brian, Mark Hamill, or CJ Collins who will voice Kefka in the U.S. version and I have my doubts about Hamill considering that he could be too expensive to bring in.

Considering how much Hamill's been in these days, I don't think he's that difficult to hire onto a project. That said, I doubt they'll bring him in for Kefka. He may be known for voicing the Joker, but he tends to do more creepy and villainous roles. Closer to his characters in Avatar and Metalocalypse.

It wouldn't surprise me too much if SE kept to the LA side when it came to VAs. They pretty much have the IV and VII in the bag. (Yuri Lowenthal played Cecil in the DS IV remake and the Advent Children/Crisis Core cast for Cloud and Sephiroth).

but seem the thing is dissdia is Ad-hoc. Ad-hoc only allows you play against people close to you which = really shitty. Infrastcture lets you play around the world…so why the made this shit ad-hoc only and then have this ps3 psp bullshit is beyond me....makes me want to fucking kill someone.

If we're talking about Funimation voices, Mike Macfarland would make an excellent Kefka. He does such a great job with Buggy, so I can imagine him doing the same voice, but with 100X the insanity.

He was Cloud in Advent Children also, so it's not too surprising that Square has kept the same voice ever since Kingdom Hearts 1.
And since Newborn has been Sephy since Advent Children I'd assume they'll keep him.
Same for the FF4 cast more than likely.

Dancing Mad's kinda overrated anyway. It's just generic pipe organs for five minutes, then an ecclectic mix of an arrangement of the standard boss theme, and that pipe organ again. It's alright, but pales in comparison to other FF final boss themes. It's only impressive because it has "movements," and I sometimes wonder if it'd be as popular as it is if that wasn't the case.

OWA's got a bit more prestige, though. It was the first orchestrated song to use vocals in Final Fantasy. The first song with singing, and the first song to basically pull off what several other final boss tunes (including Dancing Mad) were trying to imitate, AND it was extended and orchestrated in a way that kept it varied (instead of falling into Dancing Mad's problem of a forgettable 2/3s of it).
OWA has been overplayed, though. But, it has yielded some awesome renditions (including the orgasmic Advent Children rendition).
