Bioware released their new game for the Xbox, Jade Empire.
It's shorter than Knights of the Old Republic, but the combat is really fun thanks to the various fighting styles and chi attacks you can learn and hotkey to your D-Pad.
I was also impressed with the voice acting in the game, it had famous people like Cam Clarke (Sky), Brain-Doyle Murray (Arena Promoter), and John Cleese (Sir Roderick von Fontlebottom the Magnificent Bastard).
But I found that there were four problems with the game.
1. When you start a new game, you pick a character already made by Bioware, already with a name and various fighting styles. You can customize them by changing their names and the three stats (Body, Spirit, and Mind) and that's it.
2. There isn't that much difference between Open Palm and Closed Fist (The Light Side and Dark Side of this game). When I played KOTOR, it was easier to beat the game if you embrace the Dark Side rather than walk the path of the light, but with JE, I was able to beat the game easily taking the Open Palm path.
3. When I first heard of this in Game Informer, they were hyping up this detail about your character getting a stronghold…sadly, this was not to be. Just a little place where all of your followers stand in an open space.
4. The load times can get a little bit too long.
Other than that, it was a good game. I recommend getting the Limited Edition because it comes with Bonus Content like a new starting weapon and an exclusive character, Monk Zeng.
