Brooke has been stuck on Thriller Bark for years, longing for sunshine, adventure and good times, and people actually suggest he STAY even after his shadow is returned?
:( In only a few chapters Oda has managed to craft one of the most interesting, entertaining and likeable characters in OP. If he does not join, I will be sad.
@skarlath:
exactly my point
btw: Sanji using kicks and Luffy using kicks is not the same
If kick styles can be different, so can swords. Brooke's sword isn't a katana, judging from the hilt. I forget the name, but they're similar to long knives. It'll probably play into his technique. It's not a huge difference, but the same can be applied to the rest of the crew. Even if one punch is backed by metal and the other's made-a-rubbah! it's still HTH combat. Nami is actually the one with the most unique fighting style (which is unfortunately underused.)
I think the issue people have isn't that Brooke has a fighting style that's already in use, but that it'd take away from Zoro's uniqueness.
Also, Brooke can theoretically fight while running on water. He'll be our very own ass-kicking, panty-sniffing zombie Jesus.
