No, this may be insane, and the craziest thing I've ever said, but I actually believe they're trying to make a good product.
That's not really crazy or insane, just hear me out. Unless you're an insider in FUNimation (certainly not Navarre…I don't know anything about what these guys are doing) you wouldn't know FUNimation's secret small-talk regarding OP. You're basically evaluating the company's actions on a possibly fictatious intent rather than the result of the actions.
What I'm saying is..."serious effort to make a good product" is really all connected to confirmation bias, people can look at the same thing and have two different perspectives.
The "facts" are that FUNimation is spending more time interacting with fans, promoting their title and licensing more material - your explanation for why can vary. In this case that explanation is "they're trying to make a good product".
Just understand that's your explanation and not necessarily a truth, because if you treat it as a truth you'll eventually internalize it and start bashing people who say stuff contrary to "the truth" if you get what I'm saying.

Feeman is great, but yeha he lacks alot of range, just like steve blum. Their voices are great for certain characters but only certain characters. Johnny has alittle more range i think. He sounds almost unrecognizable in the Eureka 7 dub,but that's not a good thing. His voice is really obnoxious sounding in it and nothing like the Japanese one.
Ugh, Crispy and JYB are generic male voice actors with good looks and a sense for charismatic self-promotion. They're not really great (or good) actors, but man they've got an annoyingly large fanbase. :|
