Your favorite outfits in anime

List the outfits from any anime that you can remember saying "Man those are awesome, I want to wear those".

The ones that stick out to me are:

Kazuma-Scryed. That Jacket to me is probably the coolest thing ever. I have this weird jacket fetish or something. :ninja:

Android 17-DBZ. It's really the scarf, it's so stupid it was awesome. And the trenchcoat he had later, awesome.

Bakura (Battle City)-Yugioh. Again…it was the blue jacket. :ninja: I have a problem...

Yusuke (Sensui)- Yu Yu Hakusho. Yeah, it was a simple white shirt and blue jeans....but for some reason Yusuke just made that shirt 10x more awesome.

I really liked the outfits of the characters in Giant Robo, especially the Magnificent Ten. They were all mostly wearing fancy suits, which made them much more classier when they went around kicking ass and blowing shit up. I loved that.

Shino's new drug dealer ensamble is pretty cool too. And Sugietsu's outfit would be good for running, since you can attach water bottles.

I've always found that people in suits seem to perform large amounts of badassery, so I'll agree with Carter and Kuro with the Magnificent Ten's outfits. I also really like Hirako Shinji's from Bleach clothes, that guy knows his hats. Another Bleach character, Kyoraku Shunsui wears this awesome wedding kimono thing, I'd never wear it, but it looks pretty cool. Haruko's goggles and helmet are pretty nice also.

I always liked ginji (getbackers) outfit. Especialy the metal plated gloves and belt.

Duo maxwell (gundam wing) Don't know why, but I always loved his preacher like outfit.

Hiei's Dark Touranment Round 1 outfit (Yu Yu Hakusho)
Kagura's outfit that she worn first introduce in her first fight against Inuyasha (Inuyasha)
Misao's very nice dress outfit from the final episode of the Son of The God Saga (Rurouni Kenshin)

Not gonna top many lists, but I think Luffy has the most fitting outfit he possibly could. Maybe because of the simplicity, but I love it. Especially in Skypiea.

Dio has a very cool costume…..in a cheesy cool way.

And usually just a regular gi is cool, like Yawara wears for Judo.

I also like Vash's outfit. (Trigun)
Alucard's is pretty sweet as well. (perhaps I have a thing for long coats?)
But for anime girls, nothing beats the Supreme Shojo of Princess Tutu's ballet thing.

Akatsuki coats own, obviously, but second place has to go to Rob Lucci's top hat/ suit combo. Yeah, I go for clothes thay ooze style and badassness at the same time.

Some more from Giant Robo.

Here's Q-Boss. He's a member of the BF group, but not one of the Ten… still, I loved the way he looked. He's based on a character from Tetsujin-28/Gigantor named Ozuma.

I decided to put in two of Chief "Silent" Chujo, because i wanted to be sure to get a shot of him with his pipe (because he looks awesome with it). He's the chief of the good guys, and incredibly badass.

^Are you sure it's not the actual character designs rather than the outfits? They just look like normal suits to me…the outfits.

Infact, because Bankai ichigo kicked so much ass, he was the only reason I kept up with the series to a point.

You probably should. I've been trying to get more people to watch it for years. Of course they usually reply with "I don't like mecha anime" and won't listen when I try to tell them that's not all it's about.

As for other outfits…I always liked the outfit and mask that Ian from MAR wore. I'll get a picture later.

Man, I hate it when people are like "I don't like mecha anime". it caus ethey think it's all like G-wing and shit and haven't watched nay other mech anime except for the generic stuff.

Haha, I'm one of those "don't like mecha" people. I think now I just do it to annoy my gundam-freak friend, though…

One question about Giant Robo: I've heard that it's combines a lot of story ideas/character designs, etc. from the manga creator's other series. So, is it more of its own series or should I try and read as much of the stuff by the guy as I can before watching the OVA? Have any of them even been licensed/scanlated?

Oh, and I'm one of those suits=awesome people.

It's more of its own self-contained story. All you'll get from reading the mangaka's other works is "Ohhhh, THAT'S where they design for so-and-so comes from."

And I used to really dislike mecha, but I think that applies mostly to the excessively generic Gundam series (pretty much everything save G Gundam for me). I've started to get an interest in older things, like Tetsujin 28. But yeah, not liking mecha isn't a problem for Giant Robo; the series really isn't about giant killer machines that much.

All the Giant Robo outfits shown were like all just suits. They were just special because the people wearing them looked cool.

Gonna jump on the Suits = cool bandwagon.

Archanfel from Guyver (kudos to ppl who heard of this series), the white suits he wears when he shows up for the first time is quite stylish even when I look at it today, combine that and the fact he's the ultimate villain in the story I have a childhood hero.

And another old school series: Saint Seiya (aka Knights of the Zodiac for some). the gold cloth of the 12 Gold Saints, when I was a kid I thought nothing was cooler than those, I mean, they are literally golden!

-Sanji's suits and the variety of jacket.
-CP9's suit uniform. You can't battle and looking more class than them. Kaku's cap is kinky.
-Kagami Kyouji's suit. <3
-FMA's military uniform. They're not really dinner suits but they're hot.
-ANBU uniform. It's dead sexy.

-L's clothes. Need I say more. It's L.
-Bakura's summer clothing. Yeah, Bakura makes everything hot.
