Besides bbeing a skeloton. I think he has the power to suck the joy out of ANYONE just like those ghost, except much stonger. then he uses this cool attack that is really strong but can only be used when they are down.
What other powers do brook have?
-
-
Fist of the Afro, just like Luffy.
-
well there's a brooke discussion thread fyi but as for powers
he can run on water and he is incredibly light
-
He can actually reach out of the manga and strangle Eyefarted2.
-
well we will see what brook can do soon so patience is the key word!
-
but we want to SPECULATE! XD
…as to the discussion?.....he can disconnect his bones. "Bone bullet!" ...it would be kind of like Buggy, but no flesh.
Or, he's a musician, so he can use music to kill people. "Sleep melody" , "hypnosis melody" , "Pain melody" , "death melody" , etc.
-
maybe he shoot his bones as arrows at foes with his violin bow?
-
Panty Radar, duh.
Seriously, I'd like it if he could communicate with the dead.

what????????/:blink:
even if he can do that aren't the dead, dead????:wassat:
or do you mean spirits?
-
Yes, spirits. Talking to just regular dead would be like talking to rocks.
-

First, what power does being a skeleton give besides easy dodging of arrows?
And second, your joy sucking idea is lame.
And the last bit is really self-explanatory.Or, he's a musician, so he can use music to kill people. "Sleep melody" , "hypnosis melody" , "Pain melody" , "death melody" , etc.
Ah shit fuck no my eyes
Stupid overload

He has the power every man would envy: He'll never need viagra.
bad punIn all seriousness, he has the insane mobility factor, the lightweightedness, and the ability to dodge arrows. With the speed factor, and his immunity to piercing attacks, I think he would be an excellent anti-sniper fighter.
But, we're talking about powers, mmyes?
In that case, I'd say he has the whole stealth factors going on. Maybe he'll elaborate on the assasination techniques that Robin bring to the table. We have some heavy assault fighters (Luffy, Zoro, and now Franky), and we have our smart fighters, (Nami, Chopper and sometimes Ussop, when he's not screaming) We have our finesse fighters as well (Sanji, Robin, and maybe Brook).(And yes, Sanji does fit into the assault fighter category, but he has more finesse to his fighting than tankage in my opinion)
Brook could just run around with a flick knife or his cane and smack and slash at their pressure points. Given his flare for mobility, that'd be more than likely, again, in my opinion.
And maybe after he kills someone he can play a little ballad on his violin to pay his respects. (He'd probably only do that after killing a major opponent though.) -
since he is so light, he can use two blades of knife to rotate like helicoptor so that he can fly.
please dont apply helicoptor theory here
brook may fly without having tail rotor.
or he can swing two hand blades like some multi rotor helicoptor.

Well, there is another topic for this.

…are you implying that I'm stupid? heh. I know for a FACT that music can damage your ears. (seen it happen) And after the eardrum bursts, who is to keep the waves from tearing apart your brain? Hmm? You know, I actually think a LITTLE about my posts.
Besides that, did you forget the whole 'natural frequency' thing from Physics? A bridge just fell apart because the wind was blowing through this canyon out in California, I think, at the bridge's natural frequency, or note. It vibrated more and more until the bridge just fell apart. It's not unreasonable to say a melody could kill someone. Just find the natural frequency of their bones, skin, organs, eardrums, brain, and make it vibrate till it bursts. The human body is more susceptible to damage than a suspension bridge.
EDIT: (The bridge was the Tacoma Narrows bridge, and it was in Washington, as in the state. See the newsreel documenting it here:
You can see clearly, the trees aren't being pulled out of the ground, people's hats aren't even flying off. it's the NOTES of the wind that make the bridge vibrate at this frequency, tearing it apart by bending it too much. And you say music can't be lethal.) -
I want his music to be his ability somehow. I did like the theory a while ago, though, that Brook could change bodies. It would fit with him, since when he does go into another body, the original becomes "just dead bones".

IT would be like applying Newton's Laws to One Piece cough

which in my opinion wasnt really neccessary even if you didnt like the idea.

It was necessary.
The conditions were desperate.
We were losing fuel and altitutde at a rapid pace.
It's not my fault, I was forced to cannibalise him, it was the only choice! You can't blame me!

Mmm, I like the idea of using a voice to affect things. It reminds me of Midvalley the Hornfreak (From Trigun and Trigun Maximum), and how he used his saxophone as a deadly weapon, until Wolfwood breaks one of the valve covers on it (Vash in the Anime). After all, it was proven that a voice can shatter glass at the right frequency.
However, I think that Brooke's attacks are more practical. Ryuuga doesn't exactly strike me as the type to be merciful to opponents since he's a known dragon-killer, so Brooke's softer nature may have been what caused the Guardian to use the back of his sword. It's possible that Brooke could use his cane as a weapon, to strike his opponents with it and incapacitate them. We haven't seen a good staff fighter in One Piece yet, so it would only make sense if Brooke was the person to fulfill that role. In skilled hands, a bo-staff or cane can be a very dangerous weapon, certainly lethal, if not fatal.
-
@Fire Fist:
certainly lethal, if not fatal.
very dealy indeed, definetly mortal, a real killer

Let's just leave it at I'm not a guy and I'm not stupid either, shall we? It wasn't a ridiculous idea to assume. After all, Usopp definitely uses his place on the crew as his attack, even if Sanji doesn't use his knives and Nami isn't stabbing people with compasses (the draw-a-circle kind, not the point-to-north ones. XD! though that'd certainly be amusing.) So I don't think it's that hard to see.
And um, how about you weren't forced to? a simple "Um… how about NO." would have been appropriate. But this isn't the board of bickering.
...On another note, re-thinking the idea of body switching, it seems kind of practical to me, too. I mean, the Yomi Yomi has to play a part somehow. Well, maybe. It could just be an excuse to make Brooke a skeleton. But it will certainly be interesting to see if it does play a part somehow.

Brook will have the power to make people shit themselves.

wouldnt it be easier haveing a discussion about the facts in that thread and the wild speculations about things we cant possibly know in this one?
haveing to sort through a lot of wild guesses when one is looking for facts is annoying.
and there is bound to be people in that thread that tells speculators to keep to the facts.

Lock, merge, either one is good. I forgot about the merge feature.
As for two seperate threads, there's no reason to seperate speculation and fact in a thread about a new character.
