How many episodes of Black Jack have their been? I saw the (hopefully) first one on Comcast On Demand dubbed and it was good. It was the one with the old man and kimara and how he must drink a lot of water. The villagers also had this disease as well. Then the old man sacrificed his life to find a way to cure the disease.
So what I'm asking is, is this the first Black Jack and how many more are there.

There are actually multiple series you could be referring to. There's been both this TV series and an OVA series released, as well as two movies. The TV Series has not been licensed by any English company, and could therefore not have been the dub you are talking about. I'd guess you saw an episode of the OVA, though I have no clue as to how many there are of those.
EDIT: Little research reveals 10 episodes released. In English, at least.
