my half japanese friend said that sazae san is a very old anime about some family…yeah like the simpsons. She saw that when she was still small. its amazing how famous that anime is for a very long time, hopefully one piece would be like that in the future!

What do those numbers represent?
In the US, you see both the "rating" and the "share" quoted. I think one is how many people are watching, and the other what percentage of the TVs that are actually turned on are tuned to the show. The latter figure eliminates some confounding variables like non-TV events which would draw down audience numbers.
I didn't know that Detective Conan was still going in Japan! Too bad it didn't get the same popularity on Adult Swim with 'Case Closed'. I like that show!

one piece stayed up there with some good reason cause the last few eipsodes have been the shit but i dont understand why naruto is still up there while it is in the midst of a filler arc
The ratings for One Piece pretty much stayed the same if you look at the numbers on the right. I have been loving the Water 7 episodes and hope Toei keeps it up.

OP has been breaking manga sales records for a while now, and the anime has never been surpassed by Naruto even with its subpar animation and filler arcs! Any Narutard who thinks Naruto is more popular than OP in Japan is just a sad sad human being… not like they weren't to begin with though, being Naruto fans in the first place.
Hell I had to attend a lecture on the origin of manga given by some expert who flew over from Tokyo U to give it. After 2 hours of lecturing, during a question and answer session, he explicitly reffered to One Piece by Eiichiro Oda as the most popular manga in recent history and one of his personal favorites. Naruto, however, was never mentioned in the presentation.
You know, that's all very fine and dandy, and I'm all with the crowd of thinking One Piece is muchly betterso than anything Naruto will ever cook up, but…
For the love of fluffiness, can't we keep the Naruto hate down a bit? I mean, I like One Piece, but I don't like it because it's popular, and its popularity compared to Naruto doesn't concern me in the slightest. If people like Naruto, for whatever reason, there's no need whatsoever to start bashing and calling names when all they do is like a series. It's personal preference. There's no point in arguing it or hell, getting upset about it.
And hell, I like Naruto. I don't think it's particularly awesome, but I enjoy reading it. Am I now Narutard who is a sad human being?

Sorry, but you can't find it, and you most likely never will. It's like the Japanese version of Sesame Street as far as length goes, and from what some say, it's like The Simpsons content wise. There's probably a very large culture gap and all, backing anyone away from subbing or dubbing it.
One Piece is ridiculously popular. can find plushies in konbini's and all sorts of other junk from chocolate cards and mousepads to a whole buncha other stuff. Always saw naruto paraphenelia in the clearance bin for some reason.

For a show that's been going on since 1969 to consistently remain the #1 show to this very day is.. wow. I thought the simpsons was amazing with its 16 years(/seasons) but sazae-san is at 36 years.. crazy.
I am not a naruto nerd, I've seen both One piece and Naruto 3 times through each, and I would have to say Naruto is better for me. I prefer Darker storys, One piece gets way to happy go lucky sometimes, and I like the fights in Naruto better, but they both simalar to DBZ, considering the both the writers from each series, is a fan of the DBZ writer….
