Anyway, for me it's really hard to take guys like Sandler or Jim Carrey seriously after all the stuff they're really known for.

I understand that in a way, but look at Tom Hanks, eddie murphey, jamiee Foxx and etc. They all were silly comedians but they won or got nominated for oscars and are pretty good actors. Jim Carey is a good actor. Adam Sadler is not, there is the difference.
Jim Carey can play different characters, serious or comedy. Adam Sadler doesnt have the focus 2, IMO.

Sadler's movies hasn't been very good but this one looks like it could be a step into a right direction so I will give the guy a chance. And I could go to see it by myself, I don't give a darn if my manliness is threatened.
