a short hair is fine too.
Throughout this month, we will be testing new features (like search) so you may experience some hiccups from time to time. We'll try to not be too disruptive...
Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann

a short hair is fine too.
-
Nia's still cute, and her new look will only show that Simon likes her more.
-
I've never been more pissed at the Japanese than today, even during the episode four havoc. Dang lazy gits wouldn't even upload the episode to MoonTube. =_=
-
…dude the torrent is right there.
-
I can't torrent, which is why I made a topic in the Help forum so I could go shopping for a client.
So, I'm totally landlocked until I can get a MoonTube link.
-
keinonymous delivers.
-
I already got the RAW.
…
The reason I haven't been able to torrent before was because my internet provider was a real arse and torrents just wouldn't work ont it - but they do on my laptop (as does IRC), so I got utorrent and, wha la, it comes!
Now all I need is an .ass file and my nerd level will have gone up one or two ranks. :getlost:
-
this Anime surprised me for a single reason
that is Never in my wildest dreams of watching anime did I think that anything would be able to approach the plateau of hotblooded that is GaoGaiGar: FINAL of FINAL, and damn it this is getting close.
-
I'm more impressed that we had a beach episode that not only was good, but advanced the plot.
INNOVATION
-
This episode was amazing. Eight and three will always hold special places in my heart, but twelve is just on a whole 'nother level of awesome for one sole reason:
I got to see a capitol ship battle between the Dai Gurren and Daigunkai.
Ever since I played Tie Fighter I've been enthralled with ship-to-ship warfare, and the Daigunzan being a battleship made me like it all the more as a base, not to mention the fact that the Daigunzan allegedly has the most heavy artillery of the four fortress-class Gunmen.
But, in this episode, I got to see an awesome battle between the fortress Gunmen - top that with the huge Nia + Yoko development and high quality artwork for an epic win.

should i watch gaogaigar? i'm easily pissed and bored by childish anime including kids stupidily strong since the very beginning of the series, especially when it implies mechas, but everybody seems to say that it's amazing. i also don't really like the animes of the end of the 90's… what should i do~?

It may have been made in the late 90's, but it's got the feel of the old-school mecha like Getter Robo and other such mechs (only with better animation). The formula may look like a boring "Monster-of-the-Week" series, but it really picks up later on and the way these monsters are taken care of are things you'll want to see again and again. If Gurren Lagann got you with it's hotblood, then you'll probably enjoy GaoGaiGar.

You're in a tight squeeze.
The first ten or so episodes of GGG are nothing BUT that, and I've got to admit I'm not a fan of shows that feature little kids heavily in such a fashion but GGG almost goes overboard with them - it's annoying as sin.
But I was told to suck it up, punch myself in the gut, etc. to get past it - the first episodes are important for the development of the characters. As of eleven, the story has picked up a bit but twelve doesn't move anywhere, it's made of nothing but old footage. =/
Started thirteen but haven't gone that far yet - I screwed with my torrent and now I've got a two week wait for all the episodes. =_=
-
As much as I like GaoGaiGar, I'll admit it's not for everyone. Like I said before, I'm actually kind of surprised that it has so many fans on the internet. When I first started watching it a few years ago, I thought it would be one of those shows only a few people cared about.

PIZZA!

WATASHI WA PIZZA DE WA NAI!

-
LIBRARY!
One time I rocked so hard I killed 16 characters.
-
Okay that's it, this little bitch Nia needs to die, very soon, and a very gruesome death.
She's almost ruinning this show single handedly.Other than that, this episode had its moments…towards the end.

GURREN-LAGANN, SPIN ON!
-
Looks like Viral learns that Kamina is dead.
-
Oh god, this episode was awesome.
Gurren Lagann Mazinger! -
All I could think was
GAO MACHINES!
-
PIZZA!
and next episode preview
!
-
Who the hell is that guy? Another General?
-
-
So this episode had:
- Aerial battles! My favourite kind!
- Chicken piloting ganmen!
- Character developement
- Plot developement
- Kick of doom by the Dai-Ganzan!
- Badass Simon and fighting against a great Viral!
Dude, this episode ROCKED!
And wait, preview shows more aerial battles, and Nia might DIE?! This just keeps getting better and better!
-
PIZZA!
Though even I was originally gun-ho about the comparisons between Pizza and Cytomander, Cytomander sucks. He's the worst of the commanders, an annoying arsehole and a weak fool to boot.
!
Why'd ya post that picture?
There was an even more impressive spoiler in there.
!
If you compared Great Gurren to Garlock's battleship in the first episode, the design looks a bit different. That divergence shrinks with this newest incarnation.
Even more awesome, it can fly! Not only is Gurren-Lagann flight capable now, so is Great Gurren!
-
I posted that one because it looks like the next episode will be a farewell to Kamina before they head off into the stars
-
Wait, so this show also has a Jet Link character? Can anyone show me another picture of him?
Is he similar enough to be added to the list or not?
!
-
haven't seen enough of him yet
-
Is he similar enough to be added to the list or not?
Aside from a simmilar colour and affinity for flying, there's nothing else in common with Jet or Soldat J.
…
Viral is more related to those guys in terms of personality.

Damn, that was fast.
-
ARE YOU READY KIDS?
Aye aye, Captain Garlock!
…
GURREN-LAGANN, SPIN ON!

Adv usually has the nicest boxes and have recently been releasing thinpaks of all their anime, so good news.
I just how the subbing doesn't stop.
-
What's a thinpack?
…
Also, epic episode is EPIC.
-
What's a thinpack?
It's like…a really thin plastic dvd case. They usually come in boxsets as far as I know (I have ADV's two Saint Seiya thinpack boxsets).
-
Ah, like the movies you can buy for a dollar at Wal-Mart? XD
Anyways, yeah, stopped watching this at episode 5. Don't feel like watching it anymore.
Maybe once ADV releases a boxset of the series I'll buy it and watch it.
-
Ah, like the movies you can buy for a dollar at Wal-Mart? XD
Not sure. I haven't ever bought any DVDs from Wal-Mart before. But I'd guess so.
-
it may be weird but looking back this is still my favourite part of the entire series so far
-
anyone seen this?
