I suggest that on the members list, there be an option to search through people by what category they are. I know that there is an option to search for scanlators and fansubbers but I was thinking more along the lines of being able to search for all Senior Members, Banned people, mods and admins, that sort of thing. That way, it'll be easier to categroize all the members.

categorize? what the hell the colors of the usernames are made for?
-
You can see all the admins and mods by clicking "View Forum Leaders" anyway, so you kind of can. And then each person's username has a different color depending on their "rank," so…
Out of curiosity, how does one become a senior member, anyway? Do you have to go through a nomination process or something?
-
We should totally add a banned persons list.
Like the "Leper's Colony" on something awful. -

Hefty lump sums of cash transfered into his Swiss bank account on a monthly basis.

It's a trick, I tell you. Everytime the payment gets bigger and bigger and suddenly it's not just money Ocean asks for
. Ocean wants you to think that you need to be a senior! And, sure, for awhile it can be fun but once you can't pay for it anymore - or you just want to plain quit - it's not possible because of Ocean's international connections: he will sent thugs and nerds after you! And sooner then you realize you are shoplifting and beating old people and practising virtual sex. It's not worth of it!

ya, remember when Dragon warrior couldn't keep up with his payments. I hear he's going into hiding in california now.
-
Poor Dragon Warrior…. life ruined just because of his naive desire to become a senior.
-
No offence to anyone, but I don't understand why some people try desperatelyto become senior members. I mean, if you are made a senior, then it's all fine and dandy, but if you are not then it's fine too, you still get to post your thoughts/ideas (unless you are banned of course), and I am sure thats the main point of joining this board. If people were trying to be admins/mods, then thats a different case….

The first rule of becoming a senior member is never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, asking people how to become a senior member.
-
The second rule of becoming a senior member is to be smexy. Smexiness is a vital part of senior memberdom.
-
The third rule of becoming a senior member is you do not talk about fight club.
-
@BlackGalleon1 - some people ask to be a senior member just to boost there ego or feel important.
And I remember Carly vaguely explaining how to become a senior member in the help section.
-
The fourth rule of becoming a senior member is you do not talk about fight club.
seriously, that rank is invented to motivate people to behave on the forum. it fails if you don't get it and only go for it to feel superior.
-
Eh, I was just curious. What, did you think I was trying to acquire top secret information to plot a diabolical… plot?
-
All I know is this, if Franky joined this forum he'd become a senior right after registering without even the admins setting it up. He is that sexy.
-
The only perk there is to being a senior member is you get to view and post in the "senior forums," which is pretty much just a bunch of nerds whining about not having girlfriends.
-
We're very very lonely!

they do that in every forum
-
This is true but it seems to be more concentrated in the SENIOR TREEHOUSE CLUB
-
So there really IS a senior member forum?!?! Must remember to shoot Fleur….
-
Being vanilla and/or possessing ovaries seem like prerequisite conditions to senior membership as most of the colored usernames seem to be owned by female members I generally can't differentiate from each other.

Not really, at least not like there used to be.
-
What does it take to be a senior member anyway?
-
You will never know until you actually become one.

Just.. by being polite and having an agreeable personality with the rest of the members.

That sounds very very bad, I didn't think ocean was so mean, not to mention those international connections.
By the way is ocean a she or a he?
-
ocean's a he, I'm pretty sure of that.
-
ocean is an asian version of Pat

I can think of at least a couple of senior members who aren't.

so…back to theory 1, bribe ocean; buy the rank!
-
Oceanizer pointed me against a wall, and told me "Think about Kuroobi and try and ignore the pain, and you'll be a senior member soon enough."
-

It's not really all that great; there are some perks but that rank tends to drive the mature folk away from the forum, leaving the rest of us to deal with the tardism. One could also say it's unbecoming to talk about peope behind their backs.
I'm a big proponent of equity so I was going to hand back that membership with my Navigator rank when I retire/resign from the wiki project, but it was revoked shortly before I left. But hey, I can still do my job; it wasn't really a punishment at all.
I do miss my chats/bets with Majek, though.

that's not very fair. (trying to think of who your talking about. SM specificly)
-
Hrmmm. How come I haven't gotten any money in my Swiss bank account yet?
