I search for a this type of topic but, couldn't find anything. So I made an Unofficial NBA thread.

Well its getting to the point where the playoffs are coming up, I wanting to know what team are ya supporting, and who do you think will win the NBA Championship this year.

Now being that I live in Dallas, Texas the Team I support is the Dallas Maverick they have 60 Win, 11 loses record this season, the best in the league this year. In addition to that they have had two winning streak of over 15 and are working on a third one which will be a first in NBA history or so I heard that what the announcer were saying. Also Dirk is a candidate for the MVP award.

The teams I personally don't like at all are The San Antonio Spurs they just annoy me with them think that their city is better than Dallas and I HATE the Miami Heat for the simple fact that I think they cheated to win the Championship last year.

I've been a Rockets fan these past few years (since T-mac), I hate Van Gundy though, I honestly think they can win it all if they just replaced his ass.

This year I'm liking the Pistons over Miami (with Wade's injury) because Chris Webber is back on top of his game, and dominating as a center (who'd have thunk?) I hope the Cav's crash and burn because that team just annoys me. Toronto's dead without Garbajosa

West has some interesting matchups currently, Suns vs Nuggets.. AI + CA vs Nash.. I gotta say, if everyone's healthy those will be some hot games. As much respect as Kobe's earned lately (always hated the bastard, till last season) I have to give it to the Spurs, Ginobli's defense will drop his average. Dallas will dominate and probably win the west again, and Utah vs Houston.. mm I like Fisher and Kirilenko, but Yao's just dominating lately.

So what would I like to see in the playoffs: Houston vs Dallas, Pistons vs Bulls/Wizards. I don't really care who'd win, but I just want to see some fresh talent in the playoffs, ideally Suns would beat Dallas.. but let's be serious, it's just not gonna happen. It's a shame Nash really came into his prime after he split with Nowitzki, but these things can't be helped.

The nuggets being my team(even though I live in Illinois) I am sad they are facing such a good team. This will be like the 4th year in a row where they don't get out of the first round. Maybe if they hadn't traded boykins they could have improved to 6th and play the Jazz(though I like the jazz too, but yeah that was more during the stockton and Malone days). Then they might have had a shot at beating them.

I am gonna go with the Mavs winning this year, they got screwed last year ;-;.

I haven't seen Suns play Nuggets lately, but the way I see it, Nash will be busy gaurding AI, so it's possible he won't be at the top of his game.

61 actually I have to be honest, I think Dirk deserves MVP more this year, I love Nash and all; but Dirk's really gone above and beyond this season.

Phoenix 125, Denver 108, guess Nash doesn't have a problem gaurding both CA and AI after all.. AI 5 TO, and low shooting %'s.. guess Phoenix will play Dallas after all, and I don't think they'll do any better than last year unfortunately.

I acutally think Kobe deserves it. Damn man his Scoring point average this month was 40 ppg, that's crazy. He just scored 53 againist Houston (Damn houston >>)

Sure the suns and the mavs are great teams, but player wise Kobe has probably been the best this year.

So quick update, The Mavs have basically secured home court advantage throughout the playoff.

In the East these teams are guaranteed a playoff spot.

5. Cleveland Cavaliers 48W 32L
6. Washington Wizards 40W 40L

8. Now the last spot is still undecided its between Orlando Magic 37W 42L and Indiana Pacers 35W 44L

Now some of the order may change but these teams are going to the playoffs except either Orlando or Indiana.

Now for the West.

Pistons Pride.

Michigan native, Pistons are rolling once again. Pistons have one of, if not the best starting 5 in the league. Whoever mentioned the Pistons earleir and brought up Webber can go suck it, he does NOT carry the team. Billups easily carries the Pistons, and we will live and die with the man.

The pistons have the advantage of being in the weaker conference, and should have an awesome shot at the finals, now that they have clinched home court. The cavs are no threat to the pistons of we doubleteam Lebron, which we will. Miami has more holes than a Bee's nest, and is more crippled than the city of New Orleans, they pose little threat when compared to last year. Our biggest problem will probably be the Chicago Bulls, they have a strong front five, and a deep bench.

I'm expecting the Spurs to come out of the west this year, in another 7 game series against the Mavs.

Wow the nuggets have won like 7 in a row and went into 6th. I can see a slight hope at the end of the tunnel of them beating the spurs if they keep playing like this. Man really great stuff.

I like all your guess except the last one, I hope and haVE A feeling that the heat will loses to the cav, and i'm not saying that because i hate the heat.

I really have to disagree with you about the jazz. I mean you have Williams, Okur, Boozer, Harpring, and Keralinko (sp). Kirilenko is injured, and Okur has nothing on Yao, for more on this check the boxscore on yahoo sports tommorow night when Jazz play Rockets in their final game of the season before they face each other in the playoffs (home court advantage Rockets baby).

It's because the jazz blew it at the end of the season. Even without Kirillenko Williams and Boozer should be able to do some great stuff. I seriously think they have a goodshot of winning.

And Yao is overrated. He's good, but he's overrated.

Went to see the Suns vs the Lakers playoffs yesterday (man the arena was ORANGE! BITCHIN'!), the Lakers were quite ahead at the first 3 quaters, man it was tense but the Suns kicked royal ass in the last quarter…Nash helped keep up with the lakers but Barbosa really won the game...

Wow the Jazz- rockets game had some of the worst refs I had ever seen. Yao kept traveling all over the place. They didn't call any fouls on houston. Utah barely made any fouls, but they called them as some. Ugh it pisses me of when teams lose that way. Goddamit.
