Yes, it was a big mess. Was it a joke? Yes and no. As you may notice, it's not April 1 yet. We were planning on gradually working towards something up until April 1, but Griffin went a little too far too fast – too much that some of staff did panic. However, he did keep his promise, so nothing on the board was really lost. They were just hidden. Nobody was permanantly banned, and hopefully everything has returned to normal.
Some people did take advantage of the situation and had a bit of fun. Others just thought it was lame, and a few were really horrified at the thought that AP was really hacked. For those who were really disturbed by this madness, we extend our sincere apologies. For those who offered up your help to hack the site, thank you very much. A little glad that none of you were successful though.
Please know that AP would never give power to a person who would seriously usurp out authority and destroy the board. And also, this will never happen again.
