why does everyone keep saying that Absolom is a Zoan (lion…) when I always thought it was painfully obvious that he's just one of Hogback's masterpiece, (Hogback has the surgical knowledge to give anyone more appendages as well as other part's all toghether, this was clear with the "cerberus" that had one fox head. Probably because Hogback couldn't find another wolf head :-D). But who knows, he might actually have eaten a fruit, I highly doubt it though, everytime we've seen a half-man half-animal form the mouth's were always human while the rest of the face was animalized, with Absolom, it's the opposite.

On a side note, I predict:
Luffy vs Moria
Sanji vs Absalom (how dare he violate NAMI!!!!!)
Robin vs Verona(sp?) (ghost princess)

Franky and Zoro go inside the mansion to rescue the others and it's:
Zoro vs Bodygaurd (he might even take his sword too :-D)
Franky vs Frankenstien (lol) (by the way, Hogback's most latest "zombie" is who I'm calling Frankenstein)
Chopper vs Hogback
Brook vs (?)
Ussop and Nami fight off zombie horde's

While a bit upset that we don't get Moria's face revealed, I like that we finally get Absalom (a lion-man...DF?) and Berona (cutest villainess ever in this series!) alongside Hogback as the enemies of the arc. Though I do wonder about the "Frankenstein's monster" Hogback is now working on...not to mention where Brooke is.

Yeah, if Absalom has a Devil Fruit AT ALL, it'll be related to how he turns invisible, not how he looks like a lion-man. He is one of Hogback's creations, so that explains it.

Nice prediction… I would like to see Nami vs. Absalom actually. I don't know, I think it is time to see her having a real fight. If not that, then Nami + Sanji vs. Absalom (she helkps Sanji by revealing Absalom with her ClimaTact.

Both invisibility and not having a shadow could be caused by altering the way light acts on a body.

Considering Moria has a window pattern covering his gargantuan body, he could very well have a light altering devil fruit that could cause these and allow absalom to have a completely unrelated DF or swim.

Oh, and doesn't it seem that perona has a logia of some sort? Those ghosts seemed to coalesce into her body.

To me it looks more like she's a doll stuffed full with ghosts.

Even with the bad quality, the chapter looks awesome. Moria is freaking huge, and now we get a picture of just how big this ship really is. Also, that has to be the most menacing pirate flag to appear in the entire series.

I don't think Jojohot usually has the most recent chapter scans. :< Normally they show up on one of the 'chan' websites first.

The scenes with Verona were pretty cool. It seems that she and Moria like toys with creep appearances… Very Tim Burton It also seems that all the ghosts are a part of Verona.

I don't expect team battle in this arc though. Verona, Absolom and Hogback will probably work like the henchmen of previous mini-arcs (Chess, Sarquiss, Porche, etc.). All I can expect here is a Luffy vs. Mr.3 fight-like esque.

Very odd. hmm… Maybe an ectoplasm logia? That would skirt the border between sci-fi and fantasy rather nicely. It would also explain the ambition draining "Slimer" effect.

Short answer is that we don't know yet.

My thinking is that he's a regular giant with a devilfruit. Shadow's don't have mass, so I can't figure how oda would explain how absorbing them would make you bigger.

Eh, I almost have no clue of what's going on with those scans. At least I know the 4 big ones to match our 4 big ones.
Hildon seems like the type to betray them, but I can't really say. I'm not too good with speculation in the start of an arc. ^^
