I did my first ever cosplay at my first ever anime convention about 2 weeks ago. It was way cooler than I thought it would be (and considering that my friends almost had to restrain me on the train there, that's saying something).

Im uploading all the pictires that i took there, and if he sends it to me then ill upload my friends pics too. A lot of them are in very bad quality because i had a hard time standing still with the camera, so ill explain what they are as i post them.

Before i continue, let me just say that even though im american and speak fluent english, i may have spelling mistakes because i live in israel and dont get to write in english very often.

A few questions i might get, answered:

How did you make the xxxxxxxx?

The vest: When i told her about the convention, and asked for her help, my grandmother took me to her tailor who happened to have left overs in the right color.

The pants: The same tailor worked on a pair of my old jeans and turned then into Luffy pants.

The hat: Once more my grandma came in handy when she spotted the perfect hat in an old antique store. Its amazing what you can find if you really look. The ribbon (which later fell off during the con) was done with leftover fabric from the vest.

The sandals: Suprisingly this was the hardest part. When i finally found a pair, they were unbelivably uncomfurtable, so i later changed into normal shoes.

Who are you there with?

I went with my two friends: gaara and orange shirt (they may not want me to tell you their real name, so i wont). Gaara's brother and his brother's friends came with us by train.

Didn't you say that you were going as crocodile in a diffrent thread?

Yes i did, but i decided to try something easier for my first cosplay.

how old are you?

I am 14 years old. I love op, and once my computer gets fixed i intend to start watching various anime to be more prepared for next year's cosplay.

(Im gonna add the pictures in the next post in order to not make this sush a large post. Please don't post anything in between the 2 posts.)

I feel like your friend was jumping up an down from extreme happiness, or was just drunk when taking all of these pictures.

But the blurriness didn't stop me from noticing various items like the watch or glasses. Seriously. I'm no expert on Cosplay, far from it, but sheesh.

Yea, youre right. maybe next time ill wear contacts or something. and as for the camera, ill try to take better pictures next time.

don't worry about the glasses. It isn't your fault you need them. Some people are just cosplay nazis and think you need to be perfect for the cosplay.

Just…the blurrines...wow...

The bluriness it's cool looking at all, it ruins the images.

But I do think it's best to take off your glasses for a picture. I mean, if you're posing for it there's no reason you can't take them off. I can't tell but your pants should have pockets.
