Welcome to the NHK

I was just curious if anyone has either read the Manga or watched the Anime "Welcome to the NHK". If you have read or watched it I would like to know your opinions of the series/manga.

For those of you who haven't I would definitely recommend checking the series out. I will provide a brief summary of the work so any who are interested could check it out.

! Welcome to the NHK is a serious yet comedic anime/manga about a man in his mid twenties who suffers the life of a shut in who is obsessed with conspiracy theories. He meets a woman with a parasol who tries to relieve him of his shut in ways on one condition. He can't break his contract with her or else he will be forced to pay one million yen. He ends up getting into various situations including getting addicted to FFXI, joining a suicide club thinking it was a vacation to a remote island for a couple of weeks, getting caught up in a pyramid scheme as well as many other situations which not only contain real life connections but also add comedic value.

I would recommend the series for mature teens and adults as it is filled with mature references which include but are not limited to sexual references, mild violence, and strong language.

i do believe that there is already a thread about it, but i might be wrong.

either way, i've watched it completely until i discovered this weekend that in fact i didn't watch the last 2 episodes.

great show.

A great anime that is talking about some really important issues at the Japanese society today. A very brave, dramatic but still fun-watching-at anime. I recommend strongly.

On Topic:

I had realized I missed the last two episodes until this weekend as well. I used to use ADCTV to stream my anime which didn't have the last two episodes. I switched to AoDTV just recently and found that they DID have the last two episodes and was estatic. In my opinion, the anime was very well done. It made you become attached to the characters and really feel what they feel in some instances. It was an anime I really enjoyed.

yeah, that was nice, but as always, people who read the manga say the usual "meh, the manga is way better". they fucked up with such and such.
