I been watchin One Piece since it started and it seems to me dat the way the arcs take in different environments reminds of your typical adventure video game…like a some good ol' Mario...
You got the Snow world (Drum Island), then the Desert world (Arabasta)...then the Sky world (Skypea)...then the Water world (Water 7)...and now the Zombie world (Thriller Park)...
You could make a pretty complete adventure game with these different worlds...
It'd nice if an adventure/fighting game came out dat retraced all of the OP story...So you could relive the great battles...They did it with the Naruto Naruttimate Hero series...and the DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi series...Why not make one for One Piece (instead of those boring party games)?...
The ideal OP video game…

Well first off, maybe they're waiting for the series to complete itself then create the Ultimate One Piece game you crave. Second, there seems to be an already awesome Wii game coming if you didn't see, One Piece Unlimted Adventure. Not every 10/10 game is a Mario or Zelda world.

Unlimited Adventure.
Thank you, and goodbye.

I´m in the same boat as Cr4zy, I think that they are waiting for the entire series to end to make such a complete One Piece game (at least I hope so). So far every OP game suffered of one thing, and that´s that no matter how updated the cast is it is behind the manga. Even now with UA coming out which has Franky as crewmate and Rucchi, Kaku and Spandam (and hopefully Jabra) as opponents we are already at that point that Brook, Cindry and Hogback aren´t in the game. This will always be something that comes with One Piece until the series is finished.
That´s why doing such a great game would really make the best sense when the story is finished. By that time there´s probably be a PlayStation 4 (aswell as concurent consoles on equal level) out which should make the execution of producing such a game more likely.
Furthermore such a game should have the ultimate price for the victory which would be getting One Piece which of course only can happen when the story is finished. I surely hope that one day such a game will be produced.

I want to see a One Piece game where you can open the console's tray, swap in a Naruto game disc, and drop Franky, Arlong, or Smoker into the inferior series to kick ass and take names.

End of story. Unless the gameplay sucks, the ideal OP game is becoming reality.
-
Well, the site sucks.
It's all Flash, the navigation's busted (unless all the links are Japanese for "coming soon" XD ) and though it looks like you can click on the shining ball, it too does nothing.
-
You have to grab the orb and move it to where is says "VS","Story",etc The you go to another part of the site.
And yea I have to Agree with EvilGamer OPUA would be a great game if it doesnt sucks.
But it will be beat after One Piece is over and has the Ultimate game haha.

I want a one piece game where you track down furry weirdos and beat them into submission

Oh, I think you want "One Piece: Chopper's Final Adventure."

I think the perfect OP game would be a combination of the KICKASS gameplay from Kingdom Hearts 2, the sailing/sea exploration from Zelda: Wind Waker, and of course, typical One Piece elements!
Sailing was often complained about in WW, but I would add a bit of OP flavor! Since it's the Great Age Of Pirates, you could find all kinds of piss-ant, nobody pirates to beat on and gain EXP. You could even sail into Calm Belt if you felt like taking on ridiculously powerful Sea Kings (kinda like the damn-near impossible secret bosses in Final Fantasy games)! Also, like WW, the sailing would prevent long load-times for the next island, since it'll be loading while your heading for it. They used a similar technique in GTA: San Andreas, with all of the country areas and deserts between cities.
The controls would be the same for each Straw Hat, but they would have different gameplay tactics, sort of like the characters were in the Grand Battle games! Reaction Commands would also be used in my OP game (if I made one)! They would spice up combat the way they did in KH2 and God Of War! Ooh, I get goosebumps from the sheer possibilities!
Seriously, I really think the KH2 engine would work great for a OP adventure game! For example, the Sora vs. 1,000 Heartless battle in The Great Maw = Luffy vs. 10,000 Marines and Agents in Enies Lobby! The only problem is that OP is so damn long that it would probably require multiple discs and/or expansions!
If only I had the opportunity to make a OP game like that.

should be a world like the legend of zelda windwaker..you can travel from island to island….getting provisions foods, you get money from winning battles with other people...it should be an online game....for like ps3 or wii or xbox 360. Each island has different people, missions, it is of course first person and you are luffy.. and you choose the main charachter from the beginnning and or switch main charachters... your save station is by going back to the ship, in which you get health, energy (from food). but has to be something inbetween windwaker, xenogears, and command and conquer

Ummm..IMHO most of the db games sux hardcore because they're mostly fighting games with tons of characters, but the fighters in dbz have a VERRRRYY limited move set. It's mostly haymackers and fireballs w an occasional axehandle blow.
If u know Japanese there's atleast 2 OP games for about EVERY genre, sooo…

The ideal OP video game IS the one for the Wii.
-
Damn, I need to get me a Wii, that game sounds fun. For now, guess I'll just have to keep playing Grand Adventure.
