The art is simply fabulous. It isn't my fave series in that I'm not that geeky about it, but it is always a fun read. I don't care much for the flashbacks since they can be confusing though.
D. Gray-man Anime Adaptation!

-
The one thing i dislike about the new style is that, its hard to make out who a person is.Its getting better but the Noah's are still hard to make out.
-
Kanda looked damn badass when he showed up, also… the art, superb. Artist sure can draw, thats for sure. Pure win.
-
New chapter is out on mangastream and a character I was sure hoshino forgot about returns
! FO!!
-
Excellent chapter.
-
can someone explain me please what the fuck is going on in the latest chapters? I don't get it.
last thing i understand is that the bad guys attacked the good guys…

It is just like you said, the bad guys are attacking the good guys.
M. Earl and his troops attacked N. American HQ –-> They awaken Alma ---> Who's turned into an Akuma ---> All 3rd exorcist are affected by Alma's cells in them turning their bodies into Akuma like monstrosities.

When you get the time try re-reading the chapters in a bundle that will probably help you in understanding what's going on.

ah ok, was difficult to get the whole point with alma for me.

I think it's the best option.
thanks to both of you

The art style is a bit of a turn off to me now.
-
The art keeps getting worse and worse ugh…
-
I honestly believe the artwork keeps getting better, I didn't like the earlier style koshino used this style I honestly like. As for the chapter well it was good but what happened in it was a bummer.
-
Could someone sum up the chapter for me ? I have a few things to go through before and want to know what to expect of it besides .
-
Art is one of the strongest sides of this manga. If it wasn't interesting, I'd just read it for the art.
No Maam, basically it goes like this.
Allen tries to protect Alma.
Kanda doesn't give a damn.
Alma's regeneration abilities run out.
Earl looks menacing.
Kanda goes Super Sayan.
Kanda stabs Allen.
Earl looks happy.
Allen falls down and his skin turns Noah-grey.
Kanda and Alma have a stare off. -
it just me or earl face this chapter is totally reminded me of moria :ninja:.
-
that menacing glare did look like gecko a little bit not too much though.
-
Hey people =D I want to know if there is a gif out there with allen with the crowned clown mask on o.o?
1:12 like that o.o If there are then can somebody plz show it to me =D? Im looking for it^^ -
Like a 8 bit gif?
-
Just if it was in the anime then if i could get a gif of that D:? Like from the anime D: Im not sure what a 8bit gif is >.<…
-
Stupid question (being 10 episodes into the anime, and one book into the manga)
Are there volunteer akuma? I could see a mad killer happily signing up to fuel our beloved Earl's behaviour.
-
Nope, Haven't seen it in both anime and manga for the reason that it is the soul of the person being grieved upon that becomes the akuma and the one longing for that person becomes the victim. A mad killer has to ask his loveones granting he has one to say YES to the Earl's offer which would require him to have prior knowledge of the Earl and how an akuma is created.

All akuma are created by the earl. Even the one
! that helps allen and co in japan was also created by the earl

Any ideas on when we'll see a new chapter. D. Gray-Man "was" one of my favs but it's hard to stay interested when chapters are updated every other month or so.
-
No idea when they are coming out. The recent chapters after the long break is in so much disarray and so confusing, I think this is affecting the fans everywhere. I hope the author can somehow wrap it up as soon as possible with the long breaks and the new arc they have right now, its getting boring imo.

Chapters come out monthly from Jump Square, Hoshino only had 1 instance of haitus from Jump Square where the chapter came out the other month.

I find the new arc to be rather enjoyable, if D.gray-man get's an OVA done for the Theif G arc, The Half Akuma's and Alma arc it will look so much better.

This arc is not stepping up to what it should ought to be. It has been dragging on forever, the story is pretty shaky at this point. It is not at all enjoyable…its more of leaning to the annoying side.
-
I'm missing like, 90% of the cast. I could care less about Kanda, and the new Noah don't do anything for me since most of them were introduced all at once and only like, one of the new ones has had any relevance since.
-
They should just bring back the anime.

It only feels like forever because of those haitus's within the weekly releases and because of it now being a monthly manga. and besides it's enjoyable to me. The only problem I have with it is that, this happened right after the Theif G arc which I was almost positive that once he joined we would get another mission which would invoke into kanda's story.
They should just bring back the anime.
and give it to Bone, for more fluid animation.

The D. Gray Man openings were awesome. Opening 3 is one of my favorite opening anime songs.
This is one of the few manga I stopped reading because I got lost/bored during the Kanda arc. I don't think I ever got back into the flow once D.Gray Man took that long break. Thief G was okay but I can't remember anything spectacular. Still confused about the third-gen exorcist. Is it worth catching up again?

actually I also quit d. gray-man but that was after I tried very hard to understand what was going on in the recent chapters which made no sense to me.

Thanks GEPPETOSMONSTER! Hmm, you've also shine light on a viable option. Maybe I should try the anime for a bit to get my fix.

Some would say yes and others would say no.

I don't know why, lol. I'm completely lost to what is going on in the story ever since this Kanda, Alma stuff started.
example, I have no idea what the big revelation was in those last 3 pages.

Read the chapter, I still don't get why your thinking his an idiot this time.
This chapter is definitely better than the previous chapters, its a bit clearer.
I personally think that the author is adding too much detail in the bg that it losses the focus on the main scenes in the manga.

That soul seems to be that lady in Kanda's memories and she doesn't want Kanda to know.
-

After reading the chapter again, I take it back Allen wasn't an idiot what I assume that he was in shock about was differn't than what I first percieved. At first I thought he was in shock of Alma being an akuma but what he was really in shock about is that Alma is controlled by the spirit of Alma it's as if the earl took Alma's soul put it into the skeletal akuma frame and had that frame go back into Alma's body.
@Glow stuff: It was basically what I said to Renegadesoul, Alma's soul is connected to the akuma Alma.
The highlight of this chapter was Tim Campy.
-
fking Inception mind tricks man…felt like i just appeared in the middle of this arc with alma and kanda fighting, then some more mind/memory stuff followed followed by more mind games, all ending with a alma woman of light? thing and alma in denial and self-destruction...fking Inception indeed. Also, just observing.
-
It can get confusing at times, that's why I re-read these chapters when I get bored, doing that makes the story much clearer.
-
When the next chapter will be out?
Also, do you know in Canada there's a street called 'Allen Road'?
Just curiosity:ninja:
-
The next chapter should be out next month.
and I had no idea there was a street called Allen road.
-
So, can someone explain what the hell happened in this arc? After reading it all the way through, I'm still completely lost.
-
the final verdict: Alma Karma inhabited the soul of the women Kanda loved and Allen is going to protect them from both earl and the government….I guess,
this last chapter confused the hell out of me to.
-
Did you notice Allen's on-off Noah switch? XD
I don't like the KANDAxALMA pairing…. I don't like where its going at all.
I just want this arc over with and move on to an actual story we can easily follow.
-
I haven't been this confused with D.grayman in a long time.
-
Terrible ending to that conflict. Both of them die/head in to the light/use the 14th's arc to go somewhere else and die/seek a new life or in the afterlife.
Kanda didn't go out like I thought he would (which I wasn't expecting to be for a while anyway).
Yeah and the switch from noah to human was bullshit too and the ending/last page as if Allen managed to do or change anything.
-
I didn't get this arc at all.
The only thing I got is that they loved each other very much.
-
I don't know why, lol. I'm completely lost to what is going on in the story ever since this Kanda, Alma stuff started.

I thought I was the only one. I've read the series since the beginning and I feel totally lost.
-
So was I reading D.Grayman or another series?
I caught up to the latest chapter, but I really don't get anything other than the fact that the woman Kanda loved somehow became Alma as an Akuma or something… and that Kanda is now dead. And a very shitty death as well, because you're too busy trying to figure out what the fuck happened to care about his death, which is a shame.
The quality of this series has gone way down since the monthly business started, IMO. I really want to see the characters I like, like Lenalee and Krory and even Lavy, though not him as much.
