I have to say that Blue Dragon is the best Xbox360 game ever
-

If you have a PS2 then play the Chrono Trigger + Final Fantasy 6 PS1 game. I'm gonna download it when I get a Wii. No making jokes about my Wii please…

the PS2 is backwards compatible? also ..dont you need a PS1 card or can you use a PS2 card?
-
….it's 2007..and you're just now learning the PS2 is backwards compatible? Shame....shame....
I have both a PS1 and a PS2 but I only use the PS2, sadly my 30+ playstation 1 games were pawned. I still to this day don't have that many games. Anyways, yes, you can play PS1 games on the PS2. I also believe you can use PS2 memory cards for PS1 games (not PS2 tho) and I believe you can save PS1 data on a PS2 memory card.

Cool..now I can play 6,7,8,9..dragoon and chrono!

I'm pretty sure you can't save PS1 games on a PS2 memory card o_O
-
I wasn't sure, I said that.
-
do they still selll PS1 cards ?
anyways..is this based on a anime or a manga?
-
Neither. It was an original game, as it's announcement tho 2 manga series (one based off it and one simply taking the concept) came out. And I think an anime is coming based off it too.

Blue Dragon is Microsoft trying to aim for a Japanese audience. Short, sweet, and to the point.
-
HAHAHAHAHHAHAH no.
That's opinion.
To me, maybe. I gotta play first before I judge. I know it is the only game in which I will take the effort to move the system to my room just to play on an HDTV.
-
This game is the only reason I want an Xbox360…but alas...that isn't happening.

-
Well microsoft got the new Banjo kazooie! :(

….if only "surprise sex" was a action in the game.

And thus IGN has spoken.
And thus I laugh my FUCKING ASS OFF.
I like how this reviews talks about it being 'traditional' or 'linear' as if it's a bad thing.
HELLO! That's all I fucking want from my RPG's! Not goddamn floating lines and circles showing who my CPU-controlled characters are attacking.
This review might as well read: "Best RPG ever" when I look at how it's written.
Christ.
-
Since when does IGNs opinion matter

I have to agree. It's as if people were expecting something revolutionary with the game, when it is what it's exactly what it's supposed to be, A traditional RPG for the 360.
-
So will it be like Dragon Quest 8(I've played the others, just got done playing it so it's fresh in my mind). If so, then it's as good as bought.
-
They said the game was good overall with a slow beginning and gave it a good score as a result. I don't see why people are complaining about it. Well, aside from incorrectly listing Uematsu's credentials. Pretty slick, IGN.
Honestly, Lost Odyssey and Eternal Sonata look more promising to me. Blue Dragon seems a tad too straightforward from what I've seen, and when I say that, I'm not talking about story or characters. Is it just "go into dungeon, fight boss, explore the occasional town," or do they add some different objectives or shit into it?
-
My experience with the game is limited to the demo only but IGN's score of 8 doesn't seem that off. It's a pity because the game could have had a lot of potential - I would had given it 7 actually but, then again, I haven't played the full game. But, yeah, Eternal Sonata and Lost Odyssey seems both sweeter.

Yes, I believe there are sidequests & there should be additional content to download on Xbox Live (extra dungeons, etc.,).

Oh I could care less about the score. I just like how the article starts off on a negative foot pointing out how 'traditional' it is.
As if that were somehow a bad thing.

So it comes out tomorrow. Reviews have been pretty shitty, definitely not pointing toward it being THE NEW FINAL FANTASY, but I still plan on getting it. I'm hoping it will be better then DQVIII which I could never get past the Dhoulmagus point in the story because the story was pretty boring.

well Game Informer Magazine gave this game a 9/10
and a 8.75/10
